Not sure that title is fair to Jude . Make a joke whatever but that title could get you in some trouble. Look at the YouTube guy who sued Flo ,Willie , Mineo and Schwabs wife.

Announcer said Shapiro is out of State College, PA?

BTW, excellent match. Swisher looks tough.

Dude, for crying out loud, turn up your sarcasmometer.

Last year, after Kasak whipped his overrated Ivy behind, Shapiro claimed Penn State was on steroids. I don't know whether he was channeling his inner spoiled child or having post-concussion issues, but he made accusations that were apparently based only on him not beating Kasak. Listen to the announcers of the match and their Ivy superiority complex. I'll be rooting for Root in the first round.

I know it was sarcasm guess you missed where I said make a joke whatever. Still doesn't change what I said

Yep, he's a Red Raider, as is his little brother (haven't heard if he's chosen a college to attend, but I think he's a decent wrestler too).

FWIW - my friend who was at the Ivy League tournament said that Shapiro showed good sportsmanship after his loss.

What is the current status of the YouTube guy? Because he's disgusting and full of ****. That YouTube channel absolutely knew what it was doing.

He's still up and running. Not sure who's all settled and who hasn't. It's all public I haven't looked in so long. I know some have issued public apologies to him which was probably something in the ruling that they had to do

Ya I'm sure it is. Thankfully I'm an absolute nobody who can only State his opinion based on what I saw when I looked into what all the fuss was about.

I missed out on this if the entire story isn't too seedy I would like to know what happened.

I lost all respect for Shapiro after that interview. I actually felt bad for him. Someone from the team, or the AD, should have never let that interview happen.

Whoever approached him for the interview may have caught him at a bad time. That's one situation any good athlete has to be prepared for at a major sporting event. With a little forethought, Shapiro may have chosen his words a little more carefully. He was probably still mentally winding down from losing to Kasak and could have fired off some words that he regretted later.

Young guys aren't exactly known for their restraint or discretion, but there's really no way to say what he said by choosing his words better and actually, it was well thought out, casting general aspersions insulates one from charges (in civil court or the court of public opinion) of slander. If he regretted it, he could have said so.

If somebody caught me at a "bad time". I might reflect on his flexibility, slight build and emotional reaction as if he's taking estrogen or he's not taking estrogen, "wink wink, it’s just crazy,”

True, but all these guys at postseason tournaments get interviewed immediately after stepping off of the mat and I have never heard anyone else throw steroid accusations out in that format. It was a really, really bad look on Shapiro’s part and if his coaches were anywhere near that interview when it happened, they should have nixed it promptly. He seemed mentally unstable and his coaches/AD/PR people, etc should have probably declined the interview on his behalf.

Cornell seems catty to me. I think they thought they were going someplace a few years back but Cael kept on rolling.
