So, like the indictment of Virginia Governor Bob McDonald who was eventually cleared of charges by a unanimous SCOTUS vote, Mr. Penny is also innocent of charges that should not have been per sued. And both defendants had to go through the stress and costs of a trial. McDonald and his family reportedly went bankrupt. I’m sure Mr. Penny was hurt financially too. But when lawfare is invoked, the government doesn’t care about the harm it causes. It’s just vicious.
