What is WRONG with you. I got home at 130 last night after attending a Wonderful Football Game in a Wonderful atmosphere which is what everyone on this board wanted when we hired Mark Stoops. We wanted GOOD SEC players RECRUITED. CHECK. We wanted a team who would go to a Bowl Game. CHECK. We wanted a team who competed and played hard every game against SEC teams. CHECK. We wanted Commonwealth Stadium to look like an SEC Stadium. Check. We wanted our fans to be WILD with enthusiasm like other SEC teams. CHECK. Mark Stoops and UK delivered it last night PERIOD. We lost a VERY close game that could have went either way. GET OVER IT!! I am as critical as the next fan about this play or that play. But what I saw last night in COMMONWEALTH STADIUM does not deserve ONE NEGATIVE POST!!!!

The fans were wild with enthusiasm, but it's hard to keep asking them to be that way when there is never a return on investment.

The OP pretty much said it was a "return on investment" last night. It just so happen to be a close game that didn't end in a win. The biggest thing is that we're trending in the right direction.
I'm with you OP.

We got beat by a more talented football team last night. It happens! If you only want a 14-0 season go cheer for Bama this year, Ohio state next year, Clemson the year after.

It this whole we can't keep asking fans for support is bologna, the ones saying it was a choke job, Kentucky football, blah blah blah. That's the culture stoops has been trying to change. We fought like wildcats last night. We are a much better football team now and have gotten better every single year.

The team showed last night it belonged in the sec. no one says Georgia isn't an Sec team and we went toe to toe with them all night and had our chances to win. If I'm a recruit Lexington is a place I see as a football program I could play for. These guys don't care what you done eight years ago. It's what you do for me now. (Wish our fans would take this approach). We had won four straight sec games before last night for crying out loud. And everyone complains because we fought till the end, got beat on the last play of the game to a team that is better than us. We play ten times they win eight. No fan should be pissed and ready to give up on these kids because of last night!

I seen a return on investment at the Mississippi State game. South Carolina game too. Even last nights game was a great game but we lost that one. Seems we have a what have u done for me lately part of our fan base that filled those upper corners of the upper decks last night. Don't appreciate the wins and ***** about the losses. We're still 4-3 in Sec play and sitting in second place in the east with one game left to play. I'm disappointed we lost but still like where the program is at.

I think for the most part people are still happy with the direction this team is headed. I also think some people had their hopes up of competing for the SEC East and are frustrated to get that close and not finish. I expected the game to be close and had hoped playing at home would give us the edge. In the end, we will more than likely end the season 6-6 and going bowling. That's one win more than I expected before the season began, so I'm good with it.

I remember all the talk last year was that we had to get to bowl because this year's schedule was murders row. And now here we are going to be bowl eligible with one more win. I'm happy with that.

A hope in winning the SEC East. Who would have thought that? Its been a long time since we have had that optimism and I like it. I dont care how bad the SEC East is supposed to be.

I am sure that for some folks, almost winning is good enough. I am sure that is not the case for the players or the coaches.
This team has improved. A lot actually. But they lost to a mediocre UGA team at best.
There comes a point, where if you truly want to have a good football program, you win these types of games on a consistent basis. I want to see that. Not just good effort and almost wins.

UGA has more talent than we do... especially upfront where games are won. We hung tough made some critical errors didn't take advantage of UGA second half turnovers. We are just as mediocre as UGA

I'm happy with prorgress. We need dlineman and a dual threat QB who can also pass accurate out to 15 yards

A mediocre Georgia team based on what? Talent? They have more talent at every position that we do. They put recruit us every year across the board. They have more four stars on this years team than we have had in the history of our football program. They had more talent than us and we were a mistake or two away from winning the football game. I'm upset we lost, but to completely give up our fan support, throw players and coaches and the bus, and ***** and moan about we deserve better one ONE game is crazy.

This team took a true sec talent team to the wire last night. We had won four straight sec games in a row. This team is earning respect throughout the league. Yesterday was not a moral victory, or one we got away. Who wanted a coach to have us playing meaningful football in November? Everyone when we got it people still ***** and moan.

Completely agree. This is not your daddy's Georgia team. They're infinitely beatable, they lost to Vandy, they'll get boatraced by Auburn next week and they may lose to Georgia Tech.

Exactly. We are no better than UGA and they more talent at every position pretty much. I'm annoyed we let one slip away myself, but we have had many close games this year in the SEC. You can't usually win all the close swing games. That is not how football works.

Lmao recruiting rankings don't win games. Yeah Georgia has a team full of four stars, but anyone with eyes and a functioning brain can see that their team sucks this year.

I agree with you 100%. I was in the stands and saw an epic football game with players who played their hearts out and fans that were super enthusiastic. The greatest programs lose games they should have won. We are not a great program, but a very solid and capable football team that is heading in the right direction.

So do we put an asterisk or a plus next to the L in the record book to indicate an enjoyable game? I've kind of lost track of which symbol means moral victory and which is enjoyable game.

How anyone can be happy with this loss is beyond me. This was a chance to go into the final SEC game of the season with a chance to go to the title game!! We should have won this game, but as usual, we find ways to make things so hard for victory.
We have improved, but this program has to in the these types of games when they have the chance...they blew it plain and simple.

Leave it to our fans to find only the positives in missing maybe the best chance we'll ever have at winning the East and missing out on the best opportunity we'll have at beating Georgia for the next 10 years.
You may be right about our best shot to win SEC East...but not able to beat UGA for a decade has no basis.

Smart is showing nobody in SEC that he's the answer for UGA or another Muschamp. UK will have plenty of competitive chances at UGA in years to come.

Mediocre Georgia team? Just unbelievable comment. Then, so is every team in the SEC except Alabama.

Total agreement, that was a big time atmosphere and a helluva game that we had opportunities to put away. It was smashmouth football, it was SEC football, and in my years of going to games had to be top 3 in crowd performance. We didnt get the W and that's disappointing but for the recruits, the people watching on SEC TV, I think we sent a message that this isnt your mother's Kentucky and given the chance? we will punch you right in the nose if we have to

Yep.

Went to the game as well and had a fantastic time. great game. that awkward interception changed the game.

Can't blame them for anything else though really.

Why is it hard? Most at the game last night have probably seen a whole lot more heartache in the past with the football program then you have. But they are not going to quit just because they aren't getting their return on their investment. Ask the players after the game if they are going to quit after seeing the flood of fans that came? Not everyone puts a price on a product, maybe you need to find an Edwards Jones if you need immediate payment.

The coaches for the most part coached a decent game last night. A lot of this one falls on players themselves. The interception should of been a touchdown. And the fumble by juice. Plus you have to be able to take advantage of turnovers.

And if recruiting rankings won you games, then Texas and notre dame would be in the hunt for a title every year. Oh wait...
