Perimeter defense

Only thing allowing UF to get buckets. All season long I've thought that the Twins were 5 times the defenders they were last season. As we've gotten late into the season and now the SEC tournament I feel like they are getting exposed again by quicker opposing guards. Ulis coming in helps, but this is something we need to shore up as I see opposing coaches exploiting this. Looks like perimeter quickness still a bit of an Achilles for the the Twins.

Their D is fine. They are staying with their guys into the lane. The bigs aren't holding up their end of the bargain.

Jason, yes I understand Cal's philosophy. But as of late it's simply asking too much of the post defenders. I get it, overplay overplay and if they get around then they have to go in amongst the trees. But right now, to your point, our bigs can't handle it. Perimeter guys needs to keep guards in front a little more so to not ask too much of our bigs when helping off. I don't care how great of shot blockers we have you are going to have breakdowns when your guards are constantly being beaten off the dribble.

Twins get picked on while the worst perimeter defender by far gets a pass from the OP. Typical Rafters.

Cal has our guys backing off on the perimeter now. That has cut down the driving lanes and allowed our Bigs to rotate to the rim easier. Great adjustment by Cal.

Can we go a couple days without bashing the twins. OP, that was just ignorant. Its amazing how much criticism is wrongly directed at the twins while certain other players get a pass.
