you guys have seen my posts about our very diverse group of 8 golfers who travel around and play together. Last night the youngest member of our group (52) had been Christmas shopping and went back out to his car to retrieve more presents. He opened the back door, picked up a bag and collapsed....gone, just like that. I'll tell you what folks....that makes me think long and hard about a few things. When you get home this evening hug your family......his is devastated as you might guess, but he was a believer as is his entire family, so they will see him again.....wow...just wow

Damn, sorry to hear. Yesterday, my neighbor Paul had an appt with me and no-showed. I learned this morning that he died yesterday at 58. Shocked to say the least.

Heard recently about a buddy from college who died in his sleep right around Thanksgiving. He was 46. Definitely makes you think.

that's exactly what the doctors say it was....how did you know?....they also told his wife he probably never felt it....true?

Dropping dead like that made me think either stroke or blown aorta. I would wager he had an enlarged aorta and didn't know about it. Same thing killed John Ritter, nearly killed my father. They can go undetected, in people in great health, and when they go, you've got minutes if you're lucky.
