There were a couple of guys out there today who were new to me.
Who was fielding punts for us? It was #41 but he had no name on his jersey. Was this someone changing his jersey for the punt return team and if so who.
Also when GW had the long TD run a WR escorted him in and he was #83 but again no name.
The roster has these listed as #41 Jordan Kinsler and #83 as Bryce Kissi.

Punt returner was Dremel

Why would he change his number on Offense??
They were running into issues changing his jersey prior to offense taking the field. It’s one thing to change the jersey 2-3 times a game in spot duty for special teams (filling in for Rochelle). But now that he is the primary punt returner and kick returner, and a primary target in offense, I think there is a number change for someone in the near future.

you can’t have two with same # on field. Loyal is #6 also.
Yes but Loyal is not on the offensive unit, makes sense when he would change it for special teams not sure why on Offensive except for what Kupuna said above.

After you field the punt , you are on offense right away. You don’t have time.

They mentioned on the radio broadcast that after one punt they could not get Dremel's jersey changed fast enough as they did not go to TV time out after the punt return and Dremel missed the first play of that series.

Dremel started off at wearing #6, changed to 41 for punt return and finally wore 83 the rest of the game.

I was just going to start a thread asking why he changed his number 3 times. Now, it makes sense for the punt return change and if it became a problem switching between PR and first play, finding a number that wouldn't have a conflict, makes sense. I wouldn't think they are changing Loyal so if Dremel is ok with *#- why not just make that a permanent change.
I believe the TV crew said Dremel but they never got into why...

Why wouldn't the "other" number 6 change his number so that Dremel wouldn't have to change his number.
Because he's already on the field which means he'd have to go to the sidelines, change jerseys, and get back in position before the next snap.

If the offense sees that they may go for it quickly with only 10 defenders on the field

Its not like RU has retired a ton of numbers. Why so much overlap…makes no sense.

Kid wore 3 number yesterday.

Pretty sure dremels been primary returner ever since that last fumbled punt Rochelle had a little while back.
That was last game end of the first half to set up MSU’s score. I was more referring to the different number.
