President-elect Trump's nominee for defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, was described as an "incredibly talented, battle-proven leader," according to a copy of military evaluations.

Copies of past performance evaluations described Hegseth's "outstanding" leadership skills over the years of his military service, including deployments to Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Hegseth deployed with the New Jersey National Guard to Guantánamo Bay, where he was leader of a 39-man Air Assault Infantry Rifle platoon capable of deploying anywhere within the world within 36 hours.

In an officer evaluation report covering April 2005 to January 2006, Hegseth received "outstanding performance" and was described as "an incredibly talented, battle-proven leader."

Why would Trump put an obviously unqualified person in such an important position? If he makes it, hopefully he'll have lots of people around him to tell him what to say and do. He'll be in over his head just like Trump is at POTUS.

Pete Hegseth’s only qualification for defense secretary is fealty to Trump

Even a cursory review of Hegseth’s background reveals he has little knowledge or experience of complex national security issues. Previous secretaries led large, complex organizations, held high-level civilian positions in the Pentagon or strategic military commands, or were politicians — House members or senators with committee assignments that dealt with national security.

Richard Blumenthal is on the armed services committee. Faked his own service. Somebody should have taken him out and beat the living **** out of him.

As usual, you have nothing. They're just pointing out how unqualified he is. Anyone could have written that.

He's a terrible nominee and you have no defense for him. This is Trump's effort to show how weak and spineless congressional Repubs are that he can put forth the most unqualified person in perhaps the most important position in his cabinet and they will allow it. Will the convicted felon cuck them all with the PH nom? I guess we'll find out.

You mean the " convicted felon cuck" that the American people overwhelmingly voted into the office of the Presidency ?

Maybe he won't leave $80 million worth of equipment behind in a war zone, or let a Chinese balloon float all the way across the country.

Though we win battles we haven't won a war since WW2. Recruiting sucks and the DEMOCRATS that don't want him to get the job want to be able to draft women.

Senate Democrats have added language to the annual defense authorization bill to require women to register for the draft, prompting a backlash from Republicans and social conservatives and complicating the chances of moving the bill on the Senate floor before Election Day.

Anytime I might feel down about my station in life, I look to the liberal Senators in this country and laugh because meritocracy means nothing.

Very strong resumes for both unlike the current nominee. Thanks for showing the contrast.

Ash Carter

Leon Panetta
In September 2024, Panetta referred to Israel's pager attack in Lebanon as an act of terrorism.
Panetta tried to stop Congress releasing the Nunes Memo
Panetta and a group of 50 other former senior intelligence officials signed a letter stating the Hunter Biden laptop controversy had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian disinformation operation" However, in 2022, several media outlets, including The New York Times and The Washington Post, confirmed the laptop's authenticity.

Panetta was on the Connetics Board of Directors.

Panetta was on the Blue Shield of California Board of Directors.

Panetta was on the Oracle Corporation Board of Directors.

Ash Carter was married to Stephanie DeLeeuw Carter.[2] He had been previously married to Clayton Spencer

Carter had used a personal email account while conducting official business as Secretary of Defense.
At Carter's direction, the Department of Defense opened all military roles to women, overriding a request by the Marine Corps to continue to exempt women from certain positions.
Carter served on the General Electric board of directors
Carter was a member of the boards of directors of the Mitre Corporation and Mitretek Systems and the advisory boards of MIT Lincoln Laboratory and Draper Laboratory.

Watch the video I posted then go set in the corner. He's getting the job as well as the rest of Trump’s nominations. You crying about it won't change that fact.
