Doesn’t appear to be signing with an agent. Grateful for his degree. If he does go back to college
He has his degree. If he believes that playing for a season somewhere that he'll go Dancing will improve his odds of being drafted, I certainly can't fault him.If he continues for another year in college, especially at The Fighting Undies, this board will melt down. Going to be fun.
I doubt he’ll be drafted so he should be looking to portal to a top 15 team next year and take a run at some good March exposure. He has his degree. If he believes that playing for a season somewhere that he'll go Dancing will improve his odds of being drafted, I certainly can't fault him.
Not me. I think the NU ship has sailed. I don't blame Pete for wanting to move on after getting his degree. Just about every other NU grad does something else after NU, why not Pete?Does anyone else think that his post being branded NU with the purple color and Northwestern logo at the top next to the NBA logo insinuates that he would return to NU if he doesn't go into the draft?
NU’s presence is pride in his degree and gratitude for his time in Evanston. Wherever he goes next, it’s for a bigger stage. Not me. I think the NU ship has sailed. I said a few weeks back that I’d be shocked if he stayed at NU - it was pro or portal. After reading the post, my opinion has not changed.Does anyone else think that his post being branded NU with the purple color and Northwestern logo at the top next to the NBA logo insinuates that he would return to NU if he doesn't go into the draft?
You're probably right. Wishful thinking on my part, but it's honestly about the only hope I (and CCC) have to hold on to for next season to be even half decent. I think we should have a better idea by Monday as the deadline to enter the transfer portal is May 1, but he could still enter the portal, back out of the draft, and return to NU.I said a few weeks back that I’d be shocked if he stayed at NU - it was pro or portal. I didn’t realize there was a deadline. If players don’t enter the portal by May 1, they can’t transfer to another school and be eligible for next season? Does this apply to grad transfers as well? You're probably right. Yep. I will never fault a player for choosing to go the grad transfer route. That is a totally different animal than transferring early. What a great person and ambassador for Northwestern whether he goes pro, transfers for his last season or enters the business world.
That would be a bummer, man.Would anyone be surprised if Pete goes to IU to play with his best buddy Killer Mopp?
If he withdraws from the draft by June 1, he can return to college.Someone knowledgeable help me out here. If Pete doesn’t get drafted (Which I think is a definite possibility) can he return to any college? Even NU?
