All.... I had heard several months ago that the Flyers would be allowed to petition up into class 7A. In the past this must be done by early September and is for two seasons. I know Batavia a class 6A team is in their second year of that rule playing up a class. (7A)

Is Estl in year two playing up in class 6A? I have researched and found nothing. If so I assume 7A won't happen to the Flyers till 2027. Ratsy

All.... Yes saw it. The Ihsa will have a decison to let them play class 7A or complete the two year cycle and stay in 6a.

I'm sure Batavia, Richards, and St. Rita (AI says they all are playing up) are watching intently. Ratsy

They should've petitioned up to 8A if they were concerned.

They just petitioned up...
Ya and the IHSA needs to rule on how they are handling it. I expect they re-set their petition and they are 7A. But they could take a hard stance and say you petition up to 6A for two years so you have to wait. I think the thought would be to prevent teams from jumping around to try and find the best situation year to year instead of it being a two year commitment....just thinking out loud. For the record I am not implying ESL is doing that but more to set a precedent.

I get what you're saying, and you're not wrong but I think they end up in 7A. I can see the IHSA allowing upward movement during a 2 year cycle of petitioning up, just not allowing teams to go back down. So if approved, ESL would be 7A for the next 2 years.

I think that is the outcome.

The inferiority complex Rochester has towards Chatham is unique considering that Chatham is an inferior football program.
Theres no inferiority complex. Rochester is 12-4 against Chatham. It's just fun to watch their fanbase whine and moan. They come up with new and innovative ways by which to stretch in order to do the mental gymnastics to explain why a school of almost 1,500 and incredible resources cannot beat Rochester on a regular basis and counts 6 running clocks in 1/2 of their losses. It's genuinely fun to watch their fanbase squirm.

Just asking out of sheer curiosity.

Eastside plays a national schedule year in and year out.

They've got kids and talent.

Why not just petition to play in 8A?

It’s unique for that reason. It’s like rallying against Lanphier at this point. Yet you guys (and SHG fans) flock to the annual East St. Louis pounding and jerk off in the stands like it’s your favorite episode of Blacked.

I feel the complex is deeper than football which Rochester knocks out of the park. Chatham kids seem more interested in becoming doctors and lawyers while Rochester seems more interested in developing high school football coaches.

That's funny....given the fact you're commenting on a high school football thread and I can't understand the rest of your comment about whatever an episode of that show is. Are you referring to the sitcom which ran on ABC? I believe it starred Anthony Anderson who also had a funny bit part in Transformers. He did another series with an old acquaintance of mine, Keegan Michael Key
