If somehow/someway Simeon and Richards get their defeat overturned and are allowed to play Saturday, then I'm finding a way for LWE to play as well - maybe Loyola's goalposts (or at least the one Dom hit the upright on) were not to proper dimensions/specs; maybe 0:00.1 should have been left on the clock after the incomplete pass, etc....
Or maybe just allow Simeon to play Richards Saturday and call it the Class 6.5A Championship- they can fit it in around 11pm

I’m starting a pool before next years playoffs $10 buy in and money goes to whoever picks the first school to sue the IHSA during the playoffs, who needs the Kings Challenge anyway?
Not much of a bet since it seems anyone that's a member of the boosters can sue on their behalf. Who needs standing anyway?

The comments from some of the people who signed this petition indicate that this may be the beginning of the end of high school athletics. If these grown adults genuinely believe that Richards was intentionally cheated out of a victory by the officiating crew, we're done. How will the games be played if the officials continue to leave the sport?

Shoulda cancelled football once The Brook got squashed by HF. I knew the sport didn't have much left in the tank. Shut it down.

Maybe they can flip a coin or play RPS between the 6 and 7 game.

Fine with me... gonna be a lot colder 4 pm and 7 pm when the sun goes down. 1 pm would be just right.
I do recall when the IHSA experimented with alternating time slots in alternating years - instead of a straight 1A thru 8A; they tried 2A, 1A, 4A, 3A, 6A, 5A, 8A, 7A - I think it confused too many people

In Iowa they make sure the 2 biggest classes are both night finales. Their divisions are:

8-man
A
1a
2a
3a
4a
(Yes, A and 1A are separate and different)

3a plays 7pm night one and 4a plays 7 pm night two. So day one is: 8-man, A, 3a and day two is: 1a, 2a, 4a.

In Illinois that would translate to Friday: 1-3-5-7 and Saturday 2-4-6-8 most likely. So the four biggest classes could all play at 4 and 7. As it is now 5a is as equally jobbed as 1a.

That is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever read. It can't be real. Someone is messing with us.

I agree this cannot be real. no way. if it is, I am ashamed of anyone involved.

that is why asked how do you trade 4td's in 2mins.

If Fenwick didn’t get their loss overturned nobody will

Exactly. That game was literally over and was unduly extended... no assumptions had to be made about future scoring in that game or future wins. No one is going to assume Simeon would have won that game even if they found errors and then they assume/decide Simeon would have defeated Batavia? Nope.
