Wow, Bob has lost his mojo. This crapping the bed started in the back end of the 2016 season and frankly, has not been corrected.

Is there going to be a play for Brohm?

Im listening nor watching and Alex Kupper wonders where the energy and fight is.

Very few Cards fans excepted a win tonight, however there is NO excuse not give 100% unless youve quit on the Coach.......

Listen guys, this season is a wash. If there were people out there still in Petrino's camp before tonight I would wager that even the most ardent supporters have seen the light.

Fans need to put all the pressure on Tyra and the athletic department to make changes. Its a large undertaking for Tyra to get rid of Petrino and we as fans need to make it crystal clear that he needs figure it out.

I don’t think it’s going to be a tough decision. The trick will be where’s the money coming from. But it’s at the point it’s to costly not to make the move. Will lose fans, finances, and recruits.

Right. I 100% agree. I think the current administration would love to get rid of Petrino...but thats based on nothing more than getting rid of all the "black eyes" of the old regime. I think Tyra will 1,000% begin looking into his options if he hasn't already. I just mean that it might be difficult to accomplish financially no matter how bad attendance gets or how apathetic the fan base gets.

I am in football hell right now. I have waited for football to come back all summer and this is what I will have to endure for the coming months. My Cowboys can't score more that 20 points a game and they kept telling everyone that everything is gonna be fine. The Cards look like hot garbage week end and week out. The sad thing is both of my teams need to do a complete coaching over haul but I truly believe that nether one of them will do it at the end of this year.

How many TDs were scored by GT players who were untouched going into the end zone? Pathetic, the players quit trying.

I’m not wanting to pick on individual players, but if I’m a quarterback and throw an interception, I’m tackling that dude...our qb had the speed and angle, but lacked the desire. That’s the mentality of our program at the moment.

He lost his boss and main supporter. He knows the powers that be want him gone. He knows “worst case they fire me and I get $14M.” That would play with anyone’s head. He’s like, whatever.

Except the decline started after the Clemson loss in 2016. LJ masked a lot of issues.

LJ did mask a lot of issues. This has been my question throughout... the talk is well if your going to blame him (BP and staff) for the debacle this season than you have to give them credit for the development of LJ.

LJ was a transcendent generational talent that did get better... You have to give them some credit. I’m just not sure how much credit should go the staff.

Agree. Many of these issues we are seeing have existed but were masked. Have to give some credit to some other guys as well (i.e. Alexander).

A golden opportunity was missed with a transcendent talent.

No , it started with Houston game.

After the Clemson game, the Cards beat ;
Dube by 10
Nc State by 41
VA by 7
BC by 45
WF by 32

It was because the Cards didnt take UH seriously and thought theyd roll over.

In 2015 UH came to Louisville as a 27 point underdog and easily won.

The decline started, in my mind, after the Houston 2016 game. BP is now 10-12 since then. This year seems different, however, like the wheels have completely fallen off. It’s a joke out there.

Not going to argue because I don’t know that I can disputes the numbers but as I recall there were issues. Either way it started in 2016 and before TJ left. So, the POV some have that Bobby quit after TJ was fired doesn’t float IMO.

LJ WAS a transcendent player. But even with the best player in the history of the program, CBP couldn't win 10 games. Bobby, the QB guru and his son the "QB coach" complained the whole time he was here that Lamar wasn't able to work from under center. In other words, they were unable, in three years to "coach him up" so that they could go back to the system that made Bobby 1.0 the envy of the football world? And now this.

I feel your pain. My two teams Cards and Steelers; watching one after the other is like Groundhog Day. Going to be a rough fall. My favorite time of the year has been trashed!

Excellent post and I’ve tried to make this point time and time again. How good could have LJ been had he been coached properly. I don’t think he ever came close to hitting his ceiling(Talent wise).

Travis quit on the pick6 that HE threw. Why should any O-lineman block for him, or receiver catch his passes? C’mon, dude. Be a man.

Thanks.
As noted didn't get to watch.
While listening, Paul Rodgers didnt say he had an angle for the tackle. If he did i must have been in a stupor.

If you put on the Red and Black uniform, youre expected to give 100 % at all times.
Doesnt matter if you dislike the way things are going or dislike the coach(s)
Its a 60 minute game. You play to win for 60 minutes.

Im guessing Jordan will have a "sack" coming.

What a teain wreck........
