Would have never seen the field on Nebraska’s lights out defenses the last couple years.
Who knows if they would have developed here like they did at the schools they went to.
I think that is true in a lot of cases. Looking at, years ago, Danny Woodhead. He may have been denied much of an opportunity at NU whereas he played a ton at Chadron State and developed his game and confidence there. In the case of DeLuca and Phillips, I doubt it though as it's been obvious from the start that the NU coaches missed horribly on those two (and several other in-state prospects). I never understood the slow playing of in-state kids approach-- offer late maybe, hope they walk on. If NU were recruiting at a high level, it would make sense, but that was far from the case.Who knows if they would have developed here like they did at the schools they went to.
