Phillips vs Simeon (CPL Bragging rights)

Watching Phillips dominate CoM made me a believer in them. Cooler weather will help them as last week a number of Phillips players cramped up because of going both ways. Amani Jones is one of the hardest hitting LB's I have ever seen in high school. I go Phillips 28-21
How much do the #'s matter though when the football players congregate at these two schools? I got Simeon in this, but it'll be a good one. And Phillips should fill out that request sheet.
Wasn't expecting Uncle Phil to dominate in the manner they did last week. Could this be the moment like when Simeon overtook Hubbard and MP?
I will be there watching for sure. I got Simeon in this one. They are way too deep and have more athletes than Phillips. Better coaching will keep Phillips in it, but most of those kids are going both ways. I am looking forward to a good game, but it will be Simeon on top.
Than they started getting players and transfers. Combine that with a much larger enrollment than you will win. Phillips has gotten players and transfers but not enough to match Simeon. Though Simeon could possibly screw it up, I doubt they will.
Not to take anything away from Phillips but CoM is no longer the team they use to be.
Exactly. There was a time where despite being bigger they weren't getting the football players Hubbard and Morgan Park were getting. My question is could this be the time they get overtaken?
I have Simeon winning, but I think Phil competes and I think Phil should fill out the paperwork.
Why would they move up. They haven't even shown they could win 4A? If anyone should petition to move up, it should be Rochester.
Yes but not getting the hard nose football players like they use to. - have lost a lot to lake zurich, Stevenson, libertyville. Libertyville QB is probably the most notable player not there. Has 3 brothers who all played at CoM.
i just have a feeling Philips will win this with a defensive stand at the end of the game. Wish i could be there.
Because they will likely be fielding squads that typical 4a playoff teams will never be able to duplicate due to open enrollment. But if we're okay with 8A talent playing 4A....

Completely agree, lays the wood. Only if he was 2 inches talker, but if I'm a recruit that is a kid worth taking a risk on, his defensive football skill are very instinctive. Even if he doesn't have the ideal meassurables.
