I don't have CBS All Access and I'm not going to get it for this. I love ST: TNG though. But apparently...and I didn't know this until years after it happened...but apparently JJ Abrams ruined ST in the movies and now from what I see it's lousy.

I watched the first episode of Star Trek: Discovery a couple years ago (they were showing it for free) and I was like, WTF happened? The camera moves non-stop, there are constant lens flares. there was non-stop over the to top faux drama and cheesy action scenes. It was COMPLETELY different from the days of yore. And apparently, none of the stuff from the days of yore actually happened because JJ Abrams for some reason was allowed to magically changed the timeline and now none of it happened.

The ST: TNG repeats hold up well. Patrick Stewart is a great actor.

They did a reset on the timelines by adding time travel and history changes to the mix ao basically the entire atory could be retold.

In Picard the story is Data died saving Picards life and drobes were banned based on other events and somehow Data is trying to get in touch with him through digital means.
