Good news. Trubisky is revved up for Saturday's start. He's oozing confidence.
Be nice if he oozed something else for a change, like talent or ability.
The problems are Tomlin, Pickett and whoever is allowing this pig circus to continue.
Hated the 'Tiny Hands' Pickett pick in the first round. I think he would have been there in the 3rd. He shouldn't have been picked in any round. Took him six years to figure things out at sPitt with an all world WR and a WEAK schedule. If his designated hot receiver is covered the play is over.
This is why I think they have to consider a QB in this deep class if one is available. They will probably be picking somewhere in the middle of the draft. Penix may be available? However, they also desperately need more OL help.
Sure, but who are we to trust when it comes to evaluating a QB? Tomlin has proven to be unable to adequately judge QB talent on the NFL level. He was high on Duck Hodges, Rudolf the Red Nosed QB, Micro Paw Pickett, etc., while tossing Dobbs aside TWICE.
This is an issue for the Steelers since the start of the league. They drafted Unitas and cut him twice, they refused to draft Marino, etc. Other than Bradshaw and Ruthlesscheeseburger the Steelers have always had a QB problem (Bubby Brister, Mark Malone, Kordell Stewart, etc.)
