I’m pretty sure Coach Curtain is on the candidate list.
When Curtin accepted the position on an "interim basis" before the beginning of the fall 2021 season, he said that he was just going to be the head football coach for just one season. I don't know if he's changed his mind about this. He's also the head wrestling coach at Pinecrest. I am sure that the "powers that be" have tried to change his mind about staying on as head football coach.

For any school that their coach or coaches that are leaving. Let pray that they get a good coach and mentor coach or coaches to help these kids with what’s going in today worlds. I can’t imagine what’s going on in their head every time they lose a friend because of guns , drugs, Suicide
are just being in the wrong place at the wrong time . We got to start being thankful for these teachers and coaches for being there for the kids. When it’s hard for us to explain to children imagine how it feels for them

Yeah and the million dollar question is how can NC fix it? Do they even want to fix it?

This is the most true statement ever posted on this site. After the last budget that was passed if we as teachers do not STRIKE it will never get better. And I do not want to hear what about the kids ect ect. When the state does not care the only way to continue to care is being able to make a living. And it may be a strike that affects football season

No, NC does not want to fix teaching pay. Teachers are leaving the profession rapidly due to the immense responsibilities added since Covid began, lack of pay, lack of respect and support from the community and their administration, etc. It's a dumpster fire right now in education for teachers.

The money has always been there. It’s just a matter of forcing the state’s hand to give educators in NC the raises they so rightfully deserve. I’m with Sammyk.

I agree! I used to teach and left due to money but still continue to make peanuts coaching. Once my kids graduate I’m going where the coaching money is. This is the mindset of many!!

RD is right, announcement should be early January. Unsure if anyone from 30 miles down the road has interviewed though (wouldn't be surprised though). PC should be tough again in 2022 offensively.

Not trying to be biased, but this job is one of the best in the state I would think. Large booster club, $150k weight room, 150+ players every year, Jumbotrons & equipment. If a coach can give the program a solid 2 years, PC can be a powerhouse.
