For the record, that power outage was caused by a pretty serious car accident. And since we're talking about mysterious things, let's hope there is no magic used in the Pines…

I'm going with the "Old Guard" (Raiders) until proven otherwise. Patriots are good, but their pass defense is suspect. Richmond has a good passing attack and I'm pretty sure they are going to watch the video of the Scotland/Pinecrest game, and see how D.Ferguson took advantage of the Patriots pass defense. Raiders.....28-24

I haven't seen the Patriots or the Raiders this season. I hate I cant make it to the game (Father duties come first). Pinecrest played Scotland to the wire. This isnt your past 70-0 or 7-3 Pinecrest team. Pinecrest WILL be ready to play. Richmond can get turnover savy, however the defense is a lot better than advertised.

If Richmond has a lot of turnovers it will be a long night for the Raiders. If not, the Raiders will be extremely confident in the final regular season game.

Richmond 34
Pinecrest 20

Pinecrest DB's lined up 10 yards off the LOS, SC took advantage with quick passes. That game plan didn't work last week and won't work next.

Here is my disinfection on this Richmond / Pinecrest game.

1. If this was a soon to be Scotland / Richmond game, who would win and by how much?
2. Scotland has kept a continuous better record than Richmond since what is it...2011 and continuous to grow
3. Scotland is currently #1...I think
4. Scotland has more experience at the playoff run
5. Scotland has the top lethal running back in the nation which made the difference in the Pinecrest game
6. Between Scotland and Richmond- Scotland has the most current Championship Title
7. Scotland's fans puts a rude awakening on their opponent when playing a major competitive team at Pate
8. This Richmond / Pinecrest game is not being played in the Magic Kingdom

KNOWING ALL THIS, AND PINECREST KEEPING TODAYS FINEST TEAM(Scotland) AND THEIR FANS ON THEIR TOES THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE GAME "AT PATE". HOW IN THE WORLD CAN YOU ESTIMATE RICHMOND BEATING PINECREST?

My opinion is that Pinecrest(the so call less popular team) goes all out and beats Richmond non-picnic style but yet comfortably. Very close game!

Wish both teams the very best and hope no player is seriously injured.

2014...calm down. So, if an opposing team turns the lights out during the course of the game, they get an advantage and win against us? Win or lose...no excuses...regardless of the stuation. Norm is a good poster and I don't beleive he would tell an untruth.

Turnovers will absolutely decide this one.....If no turnovers then whoever has the ball last wins. Two very good teams.

I went to the game last night. I have seen all play and this will be interesting to say the least. I will leave it at that, but RC does have one strength the other two don't. Toss up for me the next two weeks. Could be two weeks of great games for Raider fans.

If RC gave up a 150 in rushing to Lumberton they might be in for a long night. RC is very quick on D and PC will try to get to the 2nd level and maul those smallish lb's. If they do it could be 4 yards and a cloud of dust all night long. On the other hand PC better do something different in the secondary because what they did against SC really was the difference in the game.

The majority of rushing yards given to lumberton was in 4th qtr when backups were in. The lbs may be smallish but will hit you as hard as the biggish ones.

hitting 6 yds down the field doesn't matter. the d line better keep those hogs off the lb's or it will be a long night. you can say what you please. sc did a great job of that 2nd half first half not so much against PC. those same smallish lb's have had issues with SC the last several years because they had 275 lbs leaning on them. the d line at rc must be a lot better because you guys shut down Dudley's big time back. i'm just stating a key to the game if rc does a good job they win if not they will take an L.

its lumberton though and they are not a very good ball club i.e, hoke and Swett but i'm a believer in rc this year. the coach is playing to their strengths. i'm not sure the previous crew did.

yes but no disrespect and i stated this on high school ot. dudley's o line is big but very slow ( i have sseen them twice this year) and u guys took advantage of that. I think PC is much better and essentially they run an unbalanced line with Pollard lined up at TE. That is a problem for most teams.

I would not underestimate our front 7.....They can play nasty when they need to......The Raiders will answer the bell Fri night.....I really like our lb's......They have delivered some of the hardest licks I have seen in several years of high school football....WE WILL BE READY......nuff said.....

I'm not underestimating anyone. i think rc sc and pc could play each other multiple times and u could have different winners. I'm pointing out the biggest key in beating PC is control the LOS and being disciplined. if anyone doubts that against PC you don't understand football. you have to get them in 2 and 3rd downs with long yardage or they will lull you to sleep and then hit you with a big run.

On another thread you mention the rain and an affect it had on Richmond in a past game.... blah blah blah

Look, is Pinecrest a better team than they were 10 years ago, yes. But honestly the scheduling has ALWAYS left alot to be desired and hasn't really changed.

The two biggest keys to Pinecrest for the last 3 years have been the misdirection in the offensive backfield with a BIG O Line or at least 1 or 2 lineman plus an undersized shifty quarterback.

I may be wrong but RSHS has no more than 3 losses to Pinecrest all-time. One in the mid 90s when I was a Junior or Senior? And two losses in the last 4 years if I am correct. So while this game isn't the 60-70 Point game that it once was, its still nothing close to a rivalry.

Keys to the game: RSHS D has got to find a way to determine who has the ball before the carrier gets 3-4 yds past the line of scrimmage. In my opinion that's been the biggest issue the last 2/3 years in this game. Ledbetter is short and his lineman big, hard to tell who has the ball in misdirection anyway. Last year I saw mostly Ledbetter running up the behind of the tallest lineman then bursting off the line, by the time our D saw him and saw that he had the ball he had 7+ yd gains. I will say keying in on who has the ball is one of the biggest issues for the Raider D.

Pinecrest doesn't pass much, anywhere from about 5-15 attempts a game. The misdirection in the run game presses the corners down to try to help with the run and that opens up wide open receivers at times and Ledbetter hits them more often than not.

Richmond's OLine has to give Ziegler time on the routes at 10+ yds. If they give him time, he has proven to have touch or zip, whichever is needed. 88 - Ellerbe has tremendous hands and demonstrated that on a low pass that he caught in stride for TD last week and the long slant screen where the pass seemed to be too high and out in front of him too much. He snagged it twice (1st time, called back due to penalty - 2nd time next play was the same play but to the opposite side of the field), TD on the 1st and 2nd one. What I see is that we have 3 really good receivers at the least maybe 4. Harris has had 3 passes in separate games where he got open and the ball hit him in his hands in stride and he dropped it, 6pts for sure if he hauls it in. Speed to burn once these guys catch the ball and in their routes. RBs is the usual Richmond staple, Goodwin - fast, elusive, hard runner, 21 has a good burst as well, 6 carries the ball too, all with breakaway speed. Very impressed with the overall development of our skilled position players this year.

Richmond on D, what can be said. They play as a unit, lots of gang tackling, quick to the ball, 90% of the time hit with a purpose. I would say this defensive unit is starting to look like a championship quality D. Not there yet, but improving.

Special Teams - its good to see Richmond continue to get Kickers that can get a foot into the ball well enough to kick into the end zone some and at least inside the 5. The coverage unit comes down with a purpose, they don't get out of their lanes and seem to be try to hit and cause a turnover. Our Punt Return team is doing a heck of a job! Blocked some punts and creating havoc on returns.

I will be at the game and hope its a good one. I can see ways that Pinecrest wins, I can see ways that the Raiders win. Obviously hoping for a Raider win. I see this one like 2009 where it was like 38-35 at halftime then the Raiders scored 30+ unanswered in the 2nd half. This coaching staff seems to be doing a heck of a job at halftime adjustments. Hopefully an injury free game for both squads! Good luck!
