Would like to see a more complete game from both the offense and defense. Seems like one or both have had lapses during recent games.

Patton is going to bring the best QB you have seen all year. A good FB too, but that QB is slick, and hard to tackle. If he gets loose, its off to the races. Patton and THS run just about exactly the same kind of offense, and he put up 34 points on the Mountaineers which is two TDs more than any team since that first game of the season.

From what Chappell said on the radio Saturday morning; sounds like Carson changed their offensive up a whole lot. They did a lot more passing than they have all year. It will be interesting to see if Patton tries the same thing or sticks with what's been working for them.

How did that offense work out the last three years against Pisgah?

We have become very predictable on offense....Hope somebody thinks about a new wrinkle... Defensively we don't cover a pass really well.... Obviously Carsons coaching staff saw that and changed up what they did...Outta be interesting Friday night with Patton running the same offense as Tuscola does...We can be guaranteed more passing from them than we think.... They will watch film just like Carson did ...We've gotta get a little "want to" back.

Slick seems to be a good word for the QB. I was watching the Forestview game, and there were several times that the wrong guy was tackled, only to see that the QB had the ball. There were a couple of plays where he was in the middle of a cluster a couple of yards past the line of scrimmage and he would pop out of the crowd... and I didn't even realize he still had the ball. FV defenders must not have realized it either. It was really kind of odd and unusual.

Still living on the laurels of three long past games. Well, thats ok. You keep focusing on the past, while Tuscola focuses on South Point, and Patton focuses on Pisgah.

Yes, mule, our coaches and players are watching film on the past four Tuscola games, to prepare for the rivalry game next year. I am sure they don't even know that they have a game against Patton...yeah, right.

It's so "easy" for Bear fans to push your buttons, and hear the same ole, same ole from you. You must work at Staples.

Mule you always get onto us for worrying about Tuscola.... Yet I don't think there's been a single Pisgah thread that you haven't commented on... Hmmm seems like you might want to listen to your own advice and worry about YOUR team the Tuscola Mountaineers

Back to the game! Last week was encouraging to me offensively. With two quality receivers added into the mix our offense is showing some added wrinkles. If we can cut out the penalties that stalled drives, and do better with our punt returns I think our offense will do great this week! The wild card this week will be if Patton can throw the ball and if we can defend it! I believe we will and win 35-21!

Pisgah is a HAYWOOD COUNTY team. It is not your personal private thread, as it is a PUBLIC message board. And I can sure say the same thing of many Pisgah fans commenting on Tuscola threads, (and every other thread on here about teams from the mountains to the sea. regarding the Tuscola Pisgah game) I will remind you, again, you are playing PATTON Friday night, Not Tuscola.

Pisgah by a couple of scores. Patton is easily the weakest team left in the 3A west.

Mule is like a broken record, that keeps playing the same verse over and over and over....I think he is in the early stages of old timers disease. He is Charlie Brown trying to kick that ball as hard as he can, but keeps falling flat on his back.

Mule is like a broken record, that keeps playing the same verse over and over and over.. ALWAYS in response to what Pisgah did against Tuscola. NEVER first.. Always last. If you dont like the response dont keep bringing it up.

I was thinking the same thing earlier today. Pisgah earned an easy draw and should take advantage of it. Home field and an opponent with little playoff experience. IF they come to play, they should win by 10-14.

Don't know how easy Patton will be, I'm sure that they will put up a heck of a fight. All we fans hope for is the W and advancement in the playoffs. Wouldn't mind having to plan a trip down the mountain next Friday.

Same could be said of you Mule. If you don't like what a Pisgah fan says, you can choose not to respond. Personally, I like your responses...shows how much you really care about us :D

Should be a competitive game, Patton will play tough, but I think we win by at least a touchdown.

I Hope we aren't looking past them. We saw what happened when we didn't play our best at Brevard.

I'm sure they will put up a fight but good grief they lost to Saint Stephens and had 40+ scored on them 4 times this year. Pisgah could lay an egg but they shouldn't .

St.Stephens put Pisgah out last year in the playoffs. So who knows. If the Bears play with the same will, fight and passion as they had in the first half of the season they'll advance.

We seems to just play as good as our opponent that could get us in trouble and did at Brevard. Still think we win 28-14.

Well here is how PHS next opponent faired against a common opponent Tuscola in the first game of the season by my stat sheet. Score 34 YDS rushing 414 (and THS does have a pretty solid run defense) 86 yds passing 1 INT QB 22 rushes for 150 yds 2TD #14 14 rushes for 97 YDS 2 TDS in total 7 backs were involved all with positive yardage, but it all begins with the QB. They didnt kick any PATS, just two pt conversions. Lost 1 fumble and they had a LOT of penalties. THS 68 pts. but only ran 25 offensive plays 253 yds rushing 84 yds passing. THS did run 2 kickoffs back for TDS and ran one to the 5 yard line, but they surely have shored that up by now.

Tip toe my little Pisgah fans...... #6 rushing Quarterback in the Nation (Maxpreps) and the #9 rushing team in the Nation (Maxpreps) is on their way to your house! Will they beat you at your own house??? Who knows..... Forestview and Freedom didn't expect it!! It will be a battle! Patton has nothing to lose so don't under estimate! With very few Seniors on their team they are steam rolling ahead this year!!!! QB a senior, NO a Junior!!! Go Panthers!!!!

Oh..... And left out one point in my previous post..... If they had played the same number of games as other teams that are leading the nation, then they would be 4th in the nation for rushing!!!!!!!!
