Why don’t you guys just start your own “Fire CCC” petition/campaign? It would be more effective than reading the same thing over and over and over.

... the situation is complicated by us not having a President or having an acting President ...

Lots of good points. It adds to my theory that maybe they should simply stay in house - especially if your high-end candidates start bailing out. "Better the devil you know ..."

Phillips brought in some good experience and built what-seems-to-be a good bench.

Is anyone forcing your delicate eyes to read it?
Since you like lists so much, here is a list of how our Head Coach can suddenly produce that second winning season in the conference over the last half century: ( Board favorites)

1) Never play zone
2) play 2 Bigs inside at once
3) Actually Develop players
4) Recruit better
5) Bring back T. Hardy
6) Dump positionless basketball
7) Play inside out basketball
8) Run set plays to get Kopp open
9) Bench the wild and out of control players
10) Play Chase at the point
11) Never play Beran
12) play Young until he drops
13) shoot less 3’s
14) Play Berry at the point
15) Don’t substitute so early
16) crash the boards
17) get angry at the team
18) never play this combination together
19) win a close game down the stretch
20) teach the team to shoot

of course, the biggest one is resign . Feel free to add the the many that I missed from the armchair coaches.

Counterpoint:

1) Never play zone - you’d be mad if we always played man. Deception is a good thing.

2) play 2 Bigs inside at once - who does that? It’s all about inside outside, per your #7 point below.

3) Actually Develop players - great players develop themselves; does anyone remember what coach developed Larry Bird?

4) Recruit better - very wishful thinking with our academic constraints

5) Bring back T. Hardy - why??

6) Dump positionless basketball - and make ourselves a totally predictable team

7) Play inside out basketball - we do a lot; we’ve gone many stretches where Young is consistently the second person to touch the ball.

8) Run set plays to get Kopp open - if would help if he were quicker / faster. Announcers say Collins’ sets are very creative.

9) Bench the wild and out of control players - he does; could do a bit more, but they have to learn on the job.

10) Play Chase at the point - he does, but he is a very poor passer.

11) Never play Beran - give him more time; he’s 6’9 and still trying to develop a new game from what he played in high school.

12) play Young until he drops - there are limits to Ryan Young

13) shoot less 3’s - that’s not the game any more

14) Play Berry at the point - the one I agree with - anything to make Buie a sub.

15) Don’t substitute so early - we have depth so we should use it.

16) crash the boards - we get beat too much in transition. We did better in rebounding later in season. Not sure why, but it shows progress.

17) get angry at the team - he does all the time

18) never play this combination together - ?

19) win a close game down the stretch - all three wins at end of season were close

20) teach the team to shoot - that’s for middle school coaches and moms/dads.

Congrats on actually contributing to the discussion. Beats just being mad at people for having opinions you don’t like Mr wtf/wild speculation.

Also congrats on the armchair comment. Seems like a sure fire way to quiet the crowd. Well done. Never a criticism again. I will go tell all those movie critics to shut up unless they are Martin Scorsese.

Again, well done sir.

Thanks for your replay Gar/Pax. Now start that fire CCC petition and add all those stimulating replacements that want this job.

Since veteran posters here always seem to get a pass from you, I am happy to serve as the relatively new poster who triggers you and makes you come out of your shell.

You're welcome. I bet it's therapeutic.

“Teach the team to shoot” is tangible and should be way higher on the list.

Thanks for acknowledging “Play Chase at the point.” It suits his game well, but it only ever gets a few likes. It make sense to put the ball in the hands of your best player.

Is your plan “stay the course”?

They get a pass because they don’t take every opportunity available to hammer home a point they have made multiple times.

it’s easy being on the side of an argument where roughly 75% of the audience agrees with you. I really don’t care if they make a change at HC. Do I think it will vault us into tourney contention every year, nope.

You tout “adding to the conversation” while at the same time brand anyone who has a different opinion as making “excuses”. So much so that you make lists multiple times. This is bullying and restricts many (not me) from sharing their opinion. Poor Gordie consistently gets hammered, where is the pass for him? Also, just because I personally know many posters, it doesn’t mean I would give them a pass on something I disagreed with anymore than they would give me that pass. I know WAY more posters on the FB side than BB side.

Are you seriously portraying yourself and your positions as the anti bully? Pathetic.

Just live up to the fact you don't like my opinions. I am repeating myself there, apologies as I believe, if memory does not fail me (it's not what it used to be), that I've told you that. Nothing to be embarrassed about. Normal in a web forum. No need to portray yourself as a knight in shinning armor just because you get annoyed by my repetitions.

What’s pathetic is your passive aggressive behavior where you take every opportunity to pile on. Your constant “just another excuse” portrayal of anyone who doesn’t call for change is not exactly welcoming dialogue. “Excuse” is a word you throw around frequently. You just dontYou didn’t like me calling you out after your mid year transfer thread. Just admit it. Your “be careful” you will upset some people on this board to the poster who recently brought up potential transfers confirms your butt hurt. Now when the actual transfer happens you will give yourself a shout out for calling it. People that attack others even if indirect manners shouldn’t live in glass houses.

2-1-4–3-1-5-2 have a good day.

Ohhhh, so it’s not about you standing proud against your invented bully? Shocking. It’s just about your annoyance with my posts. Double shocking. You know you can always ignore them, right?

Yes, my eyes might just be too delicate for your posts.
