Hell you can get great pizza off a street corner in NYC.
Sometimes it's even in a shop.

Worst Pizza in NYC

https://www.villagevoice.com/2011/08/03/nycs-five-worst-pizza-slices/

1. Vegetable Slice at Famous Ray’s — Mystery-story writers may have pondered if it were possible to literally smother a victim with cheese, but I can provide them with an easy answer. Yes! Because the awful cheese at this crypto-chain (dozens of pizzerias, some related, some not, have put “Ray’s” in their name) is so thick and gooey, so redolent of polyethylene, that you would certainly die if you should happen to fall face down in your slice. At which point your body is whisked away by uniformed attendants and you’re never seen again. 465 Sixth Avenue, 212-243-2253

I know NY style is popular but this could've been a NE Region, can't leave out Sally's and Pepe's in New Haven, Otto's in Portland,Me. All solid pizza. A place not too far from where I live serves this mess, it's better than it looks. Meat Pizza - pep, sausage, bacon, ham and meatballs.

Sally's - Potato, Sausage pizzas.

Pepe's - Clam, Sausage & Cheese

Otto's

I feel like Pepe's clam pie would be a huge letdown. It's been rated the top slice forever it seems. No way it can live up to the hype.

The clam pie was good, just a bit much for one person, wife wanted no part of it.

Want to try that Apizza next time down in NH, heard good things about it.

Turns out that one of the best pies on the planet is in New Jersey...for those in town this weekend, check it out.

Razza Pizza Artigianale in Jersey City.

You’re welcome.

Very learned on the Path train, we take it from/to EWR.

Best Pizza in Hoboken, just in case we get bored in the city?

For the record, from Oculus to *** firmly in seat of Razza is about 15 minutes.

In high school (20+ years ago), Hoboken had boasted the Guinness book record (largest) pizza at a joint called 7-Star. Your typical Portnoy-winner slice, but the size of a doormat. Tasty when wasted.

Serious pies? I’d have to ask the nephew who lives there in Hoboken as he’s tied into the scene.

Grimaldi’s for tradition, but H&S Giovanni for content.

After Razza got 3 NYT Stars (for effin pizza), it’s been sold out.

New joint in Jersey City (Grove Street), Porta is supposedly the inside tip. Serious Pie, no lines.

Once again, 15 minutes from Trade Center... good bars there too.
