No offense, but what else is he going to say? To me, Thomas has been a lot of talk, I am eager to see some results.

How many games has he coached for us? Try to be a little patient, unless you're a psychic I doubt if you can tell by his talk.

I saw some drops in the spring game that concerned me, but I also so some good, solid routine catches made (ie Ryan Timmons TD) that has me optimistic. Lamar Thomas has a swag, but he also knows what it takes to perform at a high level. I have no reason whatsoever to believe that UK's receiving corps won't show improvement.

Had a quick conversation with Lamar Thomas

Said the WR's should be much improved this year....said he gets them to be responsible adults first and accountable for their actions..i.e workouts, practice, going to class, etc. and then that, in turn, makes them better football players
Did he talk about his glory days at UofL? ;)

And he could be accused of plagiarism. Because that's what every coach in every sport always says.

BTW…did he say anything about teaching them how to catch a football?

Well he did mention BP, but that's as far as I can go

As a matter of fact that was my first question to him...can we just get them to hold onto the ball...

He didn't go into any detail other than to say he's aware of that problem and will correct it

No, but BP's name did come up

I would keep what he told you to yourself, its always nice to know some preevy info that others dont know. And if that info gets out that would connect them to the leak they wont be giving you info again.
I have spoken with various coaches through the years and made some friends along the way and they have spoken to me at length about recruits or guys on the team. (Basketball) have had several guys I played ball with go to colleges on scholarship 2 other schools besides the one i went too. They would tell me some things that went on where they went to school. It was always interesting visiting Purdue or Murray St visiting. Wild and crazy times. Knew guys who played football in college and played some spareingly in the nfl and they told me how they would find money in an expensive pair of loafers in their locker when they played well etc.

If i ever leaked stuff out i could have put their careers in jeapordy. So i never would do anything like that plus it was really cool to hear what they were going through where they went to school at.

Aha, so you are keeping the good stuff to yourself. Probably a good idea.
Yeah especially now that he's on the right team...if he was still a Card, I'd be letting you guys in on it verbatim [thumb2]

Yep...keeping it to myself

Forgot to mention Avery Williamson and Ricky Lumpkin were both there and both are incredibly nice and engaging

god forbid we have a personable coach on our staff who has some swag & confidence
[eyeroll][eyeroll][eyeroll][eyeroll][eyeroll][eyeroll]
some of you people are so bitter & miserable I really wonder why you bother following this program or this sport. personally I do so because this is a leisure activity that gives me pleasure. pretty obvious for some participants the exact opposite feeling is obtained, continuing to do so is pretty crazy.

Spoke with a family member of a kid who played at WKU. He said the player was very happy when BP left and Brohm was named HC.
