Did they not do that against BR?
They did, but man, Rice's d-line is tough; they really dominated much of the game. Also, Rice's senior QB started that game and threw a couple of picks that let LWE keep it close early on. In that game, McGee was cramping up and out for most of the second half for Rice, which really opened things up for LWE.

And for the first time in years, LWE doesn't have a great field-goal-kicking game and has missed a ton of extra points and short field goals, which could really cost them in tight games.

But LWE is solid this year, and their offense has come a long, long way since the Rice game.

Agree, both teams are different than week 1 or two I forgot when they played.

8A - Mt. Carmel
7A - East St. Louis
6A - Fenwick
5A - Providence
4A - Montini
3A - Byron
2A - Wilmington
1A - Stockton

It will be interesting to see if Heyworth, El Paso-Gridley and Richmond-Burton can be upset winners in 1A, 2A and 3A respectively, but I will stick with my official picks as shown above.

How does this years SJO team compare to last years T Unity?
Unity was much better passing team last year.

SJO uses the run to set up the pass. They'll pass sideline to sideline - neither of those will effect IC nearly as much as any other 3A team (Byron being another exception).

*If* SJO makes it, they'll score some points, they're talented, but IC won't need to bring a punter.

No, Massey is accurate.

I do agree that Massey is accurate. Anything double digit, Massey is the goods.

What I've found, though, is if the spread is 7 points or less, Massey is less accurate--as expected, of course.

At that point margin of error comes into play and I consider anything under 7 pretty much a toss up.
