East Wilkes at Mount Airy
The Ronda Cards sure played the Bears hard in their first matchup for that half before things broke apart. It shows Wilmoth can at least do a gameplan but he turned away from it and it all went south. ? is tonight will he reuse it or do something different? MA has the talent edge here but getting the Graham kid back gives East a chance to at least do a little more. However unless they play a smart game it won't matter especially if they play as mediocre as they did last week vs North Stokes. If the Vikings had a more competent offense they could have been in MA tonight as bad as East played.
Forbush at East Surry
Pilot Cards played rather mediocrely last week vs NC while Forbush took a sad situation and used it as fuel into the 2nd round. Neither played a typical game so it's hard to say which team will benefit here but judging by their previous game East should be the favorites here. However they have a lot of questions to answer especially on offense because they played very mediocrely last week vs a surprisingly tough NC team. Forbush's defense couldn't handle East's run in that first matchup so that will ultimately determine the game. Whoever wins here will face a buzzsaw next week in either Robinson or Monroe.
Andrews at Starmount
This is the best game of the area tonight; both these squads are really good and it can go either way but honestly I see Andrews as the favorite here. They are both older and a little more bigger. They let the Elkin game slide last spring and I know it's ate them up ever since then and they want a redo; especially since it's the same amount of a drive. Starmount isn't no pushover so Andrews needs to be ready for whatever they offer.
South Stokes at Thomaville
South's been a great story this year ever since how awful they played vs West in the opener to how much they have grown in the weeks since then. Dave's done a hell of a good job with them; sadly they just won't have enough for the Bulldogs tonight.
