Our pass game came alive last week. We are a horrible running team. So of course we’ve had 12 passes and 26 runs?
You're thinking is sensical. When it makes sense, we won't do it. It makes no sense. When you calculate that extra question: "Does this make any sense?" IF yes, we won't do it. IF no, we will do it. That's how you can make sense of our nonsense. It still doesn't make any sense, but at least it's predictable. = I promise that is formula.

I understand you can’t completely abandon the run and have to maintain some minimal appearance of threatening to run the ball, but being 2:1 for the run just doesn’t make any sense when you have absolutely no run whatsoever. Our first drive coming out of the locker room after halftime was a complete and total waste.

We should have gone play action and threw a bomb to harbor on the first play of the third quarter

I've seen enough to make this claim. I feel familiar with the work of Carolina OCs all the way back to Art Wilkins, who was an OC under Sparky. Mike Shula is THE WORST OC I've ever seen at Carolina. He has soooooo many tools to work with, not to mention a generational QB, & he can't generate offense. You can't just blame the OL. There are plenty of programs that have struggling OLs & put up way more points, consistently, than we do. I'd rather have the aforementioned Wilkins, Reedy, Spurrier Jr., McClendon, Roper, & even freakin' Satterfield calling plays than Mike Shula. Beamer made an awful mistake with this hire, & it is gonna cost him severely. With even an average OC, Cocks would have gone 8-4 this season. Instead, 4-8 will be the final record for 2025.......& it's because of how bad of an OC Mike Shula is.
