Please play Jela over BG

I love BG as person, but as for on court game, BG experiments should be stopped

Yes, this one isn't really close. Jelavic is better in pretty much every area. I imagine when JQ plays BG will be out of the rotation, at least I'd hope so since there is no way he should play ahead of Jelavic at the 5 or 4.

I agree. Seems like Pope wants so badly to be right about Garrison, that he’s compromising the success of his team.

JQ, Moreno, Jelly, and Mo will take up all the minutes at the four and five if we are gonna make a run at this thing. Short of injuries or blowouts, BG shouldn’t see many more minutes.

I agree and was really hoping BG would put it all together this season . I would love to know why the guy doesn't dunk on all those bunnies that he continually misses.

Jelavich has better skills in my opinion and has way more upside.

If I was B.G. coach, I would have him dunk 50 balls a practice, Left side then right side.

Yup I would love for our 5 spot rotation to be Moreno and Jela, the spacing with Jela at the 5 would let Oweh flourish again as long as he plays with a motor.

Jela will most likely be back next year, he does need more playing time, surely Pope knows this. His skill set is to valuable to not play before BG. He can play inside or out and we need his complete game to be the team we want to be.

He also seems to have a good attitude and is very coachable . I think he could be lethal for us down the road once he adjusts to the pace and sharpens his skills. He needs minutes.

Absolutely. Last night against Tenn Tech was a perfect opportunity and he logged 15 mins, which was 2 less than BG. Yet, Jelly still had better production across the board.
If someone pressed Pope on why, he'd probably say Jelly is behind bc he missed summer workouts.

Yep if he still keeps bg ahead that will tell everyone all we need to know. It is clear as day. I think he wants to be able to say that he gave Garrison a chance atleast.

Im being serious when I say it is in our best interest and BG's best interest to transfer now and claim some type of injury so he can transfer and still have 2 years left. Jelly and Moreno can man the 5 until JQ can play . He absolutely should not be logging a single minute once JQ can play but if he waits that long and then transfers he'll lose a year.

Or maybe he realizes that for UK to be dominant in March they need Garrison to be playing well. Florida had 3 big men playing very well when the won the tournament last year.

Mark Pope is BGs biggest fan. He's going to get opportunities let's just hope he doesn't screw it up too bad before pope pulls him.

Like stated previously Garrison doesnt need a single minute on this team. I would have mo in at the 5 even before Garrison and go small. He is just not d1 caliber.

Honestly no more than 8 minutes max a game just giving people rest

Mo D, Jelavic, and Moreno should all get 4/5 minutes over BG. BG is 5 fouls and a breather for those guys. Should get no more than 5 minutes a game. If we have to play small ball to keep BG off the court then we should do that.

BG and OO are somehow worse than they were last year. At least OO is still good enough to play though.

The reason BG gets minutes over Jelly is because he was paid 3 million dollars, to return to UK.

I think this might be the game we see a lot of BG at the 4 with MM at the 5. Not sure how it'll look to the eye if BG is tasked with guarding Wilson but...who else ya got. Not Jelly and I think Wilson will eat Kam up, unfortunately. Too much size but he'll have to guard him at times anyway. I was really hoping JQ would be ready but nope, not yet. That woulda changed things up a lot. We'll have to see what Pope can dial up defensively tonight, given the mis matches Wilson presents us without all our guys being available. This worries me a bit about this game but I have more faith in Pope and BG than 2/3rds of this site has.
