There are some absolutes in this world and I can help you with some.
- When you are down 24-0 and you score, and it's in the first half, you don't go for 2
- You don't misuse Bell all season, get called out for not using him enough, and then make him your starting RB for an entire game.
- Playing Bell at RB in a jumbo package or a once in a while change of pace is fine, but he is not an every down back. We could play Carroll, Amos, and the Twitty kid at RB......we even had a grad student transfer that looked decent in the spring. Play some of them. You kill a team and any possible development doing what we did tonight. Slap in the face to your "next guy up" mentality to make a TE/Receiver your RB because 2 were hurt. It was almost like they were trying to make Bell have lots of touches to make up for their misuse of him all season. He is not an edge runner and doesn't lift his feet enough to play RB all the time. He gets tripped easily trying to run a sweep and up the middle. He's just not that kind of runner and this is no criticism of him.
- PLAY LUKE DOTY at least a damn little.............no reason he shouldn't have gotten many 4th qtr snaps. He got NONE. No shock if Doty transfers this year and he never got a real shot when healthy. Michael Scarnecchia says hi!
- If Rattler wants to be a big time QB, he needs to play like one...........if not, see above.
- Our D gave up 400 yards rushing.......who is accountable for that?
- Give the refs some **** every now and then..............we would have lost anyway, but another year, another not one single holding call on UF. I think that makes like 8 out of 10 years now. That long run TD by UF, Pickens got grabbed around the neck and spun around at the point of attack and the RB ran by him. Obvious hold in obvious view....nothing. YET, refs can't miss a single thing we do. It was another one of those nights where we sucked, the refs knew it, and piled on.
- I'm taking my grandson to the UT game cause he's never been to a game at WB. Can't wait for him to see the light show and pre-game stuff. Probably be on the road back home by halftime so it will work out just fine.
- WE make the dumbest penalties of any team in the nation. Example, pass to Stogner where he was covered up at the LOS in the 4th. Not covering your TE with the outside receiver is football 101. If he's covered, then the D knows he can't go out for a pass so he's not a threat to worry about. We do that constantly I noticed. Off set the receiver or offset the TE...........either way makes the D have to account for him.
- I see no fire in this team...........maybe it's the Muschamp leftover effect, but it's time to see them beat someone with a pulse or at least make a good team feel like they were in a game. Eventually, Shane is accountable so the clock is ticking.
- There's so much more, but I'm exhausted from being pissed off.
