Only about 99 percent of coaches would have gone for it. Iowa was running all over that defense, so KF punts on 4th and ONE. If I'm an offensive player, that impresses the hell outta me. But as embarrassing and frustrating as that decision was, it was consistent with the ultraconservative Kirk Ferentz. Just because he says he's not in the entertainment business doesn't mean he isn't. He simply hasn't figured that out, even after 27+ years. Sports is entertainment. People pay big money to be entertained by college football. And because they do, Kirk Ferentz is a ridiculously rich person. Punting on 4th and 1 ain't entertainment. It's BS.
