Why are we playing a game on Friday night in New Jersey? I recall that was Eichorst's doing, but why did he agree to it?
I don't know why. But I know we have had luck recruiting New Jersey in the past. Why are we playing a game on Friday night in New Jersey? I recall that was Eichorst's doing, but why did he agree to it?
Some schools agreed to it, some (Nebraska was one) did not. It doesnāt matter if we play an Away game on a Friday night.I don't quite remember but it seemed Friday night games were a thing you could sign onto at one point years ago? I have no clue why we did.
Accurate - Big Ten wanted ratings, so they are allowing programs with lesser venue to play teams that will bring in the viewers. Penn State, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Ohio State have all played a Friday night road game. Since 2017, of the teams that draw ratings, only Michigan appears to have avoided the Friday night game. Some schools agreed to it, some (Nebraska was one) did not. Playing a Home game on a Friday night competes with our high school games and is much harder to bring recruits to the game as those recruits play on Fridays as well.
Yup and I'msure MJ will meet up with Irving Fryer and talk about a gig in the future as Fryer mentioned earlier.I don't know why. But I know we have had luck recruiting New Jersey in the past.
For purely selfish reasons I love it as well, getting to see the Huskers play a day early.I know it supposedly sucks but being here in SoCal and lounging on my couch watching the Huskers on a Friday night is as good as it gets. I am older and have kids so this really works for me
RU got beat upon by tOSU last week so they should be softened up...For purely selfish reasons I love it as well, getting to see the Huskers play a day early.
I don't like that the Huskers have one less day to recover and practice. Rutgers is in the same boat but they don't have the travel time to deal with.
Should the Huskers win it will be more fun on Saturday seeing how the other B1G West teams tied for first shake out on Saturday.
Let's do this! C'mon Huskers!
You mean Indiana was Mickey's second game right? We def looked improved from the OU game (Mickey's first). The greatest improvement for a team is made by game two, technically this is head coach Mickey Joseph's second game so let's see the improvement, I think we will hopefully. I would love for this team get to 500 and then things would get interesting for the rest of the schedule.
I consider the OU game as an anomaly. I think with the bye Joseph and the coaches had time to work with the team, something they didn't have leading up to the OU game and with a DC who Joseph fired shortly afterwards. I considered the Indiana game as the true number one game for Mickey Joseph and staff of course that's just me.You mean Indiana was Mickey's second game right? Unless we're talking about Busch as DC that is.
Agreed 100%I consider the OU game as an anomaly.
