Anyone else checked out Vince Gilligan's new show on Apple TV, Pluribus.

It's a science fiction "hive mind" storyline, featuring Rhea Seehorne

5 episodes in and I'm really enjoying it. It has the typical VG slow burn feel, which bothers some folks, but I happen to like.

Check it out,

Unrelated, but HBO has a good black friday week deal. $2.99/month for the year. I went with this to catch up on all the shows ive been missing. But I am interested to see Pluribus.

Speaking of Vince Gilligan slow burns, I wanted to love Saul Goodman but the first season was so terrible, I just can't. Spending a full season with the stupid brother and his dark house and tin foil was ponderous and dull and ruined it for me. I don't care about Jimmy McGill. I care about Saul Goodman.

If this is a similar slow burn, I have no interest. If it is engaging, I might peep to see if Apple TV is one of the current eleventy billion streaming apps we have.

I can sort of see how BOTH BCS and BB didnt draw viewers in immediately. Season 1 for both of them are fairly slow. Half of the first season in BCS, hes dealing with very menial offenses as a lawyer. And the Chuck side story about his fear of electronic devices.. doesnt make for compelling TV.

But once it gets going its pretty fantastic, maybe even better than BB. Kim is a fantastic addition. Nacho as well. Mike gets a bigger role. You see characters like Gus, Tuco and Hector as they were before BB. And some really good antagonists like Chuck, Howard and Lalo.

You might not like it. That IS the criticism of VG. A lot of the show is spent "spectating" the daily grind/mundane tasks. I happen to like, because I think it makes it more like reading a book, but I can certainly understand why it isn't for everyone.

Pluribus is fine, but it doesn't hold a candle to Severance, which IMO is one of the best TV shows ever made.
