Two very different halves makes for an interesting evaluation...

Pete Nance had a really big game and deserves most of the credit for the victory.
We were a mess in the first half.
The ineffective frontcourt combo of Ryan Young and Robbie Beran got outscored 14-1 in under 4 minutes in the first half. Thats reaaaallly bad.
The other "please don't play these guys together" combo (Berry and Roper) played a lot and was outscored 32-26 in 14 minutes.
The usually effective backcourt combo of Buie and Greer really struggled as part of the Young/Beran fiasco before Greer was benched for the night with 4:26 left in the first half.
Robbie Beran was benched at 16:39 with Nebraska leading 45-33. From there Elyjah Williams stepped up with Pete Nance for a 20-11 run over the next 6 minutes.
After a 6-4 setback with Young and Williams, Collins paired Young and Nance for the final 7 minute stretch, which NU won 14-7 to claim the victory.
Young and Nance were particularly effective controlling the paint, while Audige struggled for the last 10:44.

You could sense, as the disaster of the first half unrolled, that Nance was the only guy really impacting the game. It was not just scoring, Nebraska double teamed in and the offense started to move out of the double team. I am glad he barely sat in the 2nd half.
