Little harsh man. I see what you're saying but TA is giving it everything he has for this team.

It is, but unfortunately it is true. Tommy doesn't have what it takes between the ears and he never will. He has terrible footwork habits that he regresses to, he constantly throws it into double and triple coverage and can't read defenses a lick. He's made some awesome plays, but overall he is a liability. And, we don't have anyone better that can take the job. Our best QB is a high school senior. Riley and Langsdorf know this. They are polishing the proverbial turd, but it just ain't working.

If I am Riley, the day after the last game of the season, I call Tommy in for a meeting and explain to him that POB will be the starter from the moment he sets foot on campus, and that he would love for Tommy to stay as a backup, but if he cannot do that, he may want to move on. That is the respectful thing to do. It gives Tommy time to chose.

Armstrong has been bad the past few games....but if we want another potential losing season starting a true frosh at QB will be the ticket.

Tommy is what he is...and that is a 2-4 quarterback, unless he has Ameer who was a superstar to take the pressure off him. We don't have Ameer. I have zero doubts that POB will start game one next season, and that we will not be 2-4. I would have guaranteed POB as much today.

Oregon St has 23 players listed on NFL teams as of Monday, Neb 27 as of mid Sept. OSU has 3 QB's on NFL rosters pretty sure you know the number of Huskers QB's in NFL.

Shows the complete ignorance of many on this board. Riley can flat out develop players, that's a fact. Now let's see what he can do with players he can being into a football school.

While I would normally agree, Tommy at QB for another year scares me. Other teams have gotten away with starting true frosh QBs without ruining seasons. Besides Tommy chucking it deep missing check downs all game any different?

Which Qbs? Manion? The scrub from Tampa who backs up Winston? Who am I missing? Johnny Unitas?

Lol!

At least Tommy puts us in a position to win football games.

People who bash TA don't understand football.

Think about a real Husker running game, to take pressure off TA. He throws off his back foot for a reason because the kid is constantly trying to avoid pressure from our porous OL.

Langsdorf. Sucks.

Tommy was horrible today. He was 1/11 during one stretch. He tries hard, he just isn't skilled. People who don't see that "don't understand football". Ameer saved his bacon the last 2 years.

The only call to make on our last 3rd down today was a roll out pass/run option. Sadly, our coaches learned last week that they cannot trust a 3rd year QB to run that play.

Tommy has always been streaky but last I checked we were up 1 before the choke job...

Do your own research dumb ***, he has put 3 guys in the NFL period, getting paid more in a yr then you have prob made in your life.
Yeah. Riley has made a lot of $$$. That gives him license to flush Husker football down the toilet. Real intelligent point. Taken.

Waterboy I was talking about the 3 QB's in the NFL, this program was circling the drain with previous staff, I will give this staff a chance to prove one way or the other, 6 games is not enough time to make final judgement.

We actually don't know that yet. He is isn't the only player needed I grant you that.

POB isn't going to save this sinking ship.

If we had a player step up and make A play in any of our four losses, they could have all been wins. A quarterback is often one of those guys that needs to make plays to win games. Tommy is not a playmaker. He was 1/11 during a stretch today. That is unheard of, except in peewee football. POB will start next year....day one.

Tommy didn't call 3 running plays into the guts of a stacked defense to end the game, offensively.

Langsdorf did.

No offense, but Bo won 9 games last year with a system none of our current DBs would be screwing-up and a pretty prolific looking offense, on paper.

I think he would have done better. Not to say he's the answer.

But man, let's call Riley out for what he is. A loser.

Ameer was one of the top 5 running backs of all time. He is the basically the sole reason we were over .500 the last couple years....and he is gone.

Too early to tell. I don't give a **** about 9 wins I don't. I care about playing good football without an embarrassment on the sideline. I am not saying MR is the answer but I am confident he is a better overall coach than BO. He had a crap run d and that has been cleaned up and we have the wrong db's in place right now. Give Riley a chance.
