Point Guards...

...JC, or Juwan, or Darris, or JD Collins, or Ronnie Retton???

Greg Jones.

JC

Juwan. Nothing against the other guys, but they had great supporting casts. Juwan was it his last 2 years and give him JC, Nicols, or JD teams and I bet they get better. No offense to them, I just think Juwan was that good at creating shots for his teammates or taking the drive space created when defensive players cut off his passing lanes.

Lee Patrone.

Not an easy choice.

Want to surprise yourself?

Check out the career stats for Steve Berger!

[WVUALLEN]

Steve Berger
#1 in Assist 574, JC 2nd 559
#1 in Steals JC 330 Berger 214 (to be fair JC had 80 more than 2nd place)
Points PG Berger nor JC in top 25
Berger 13th in 3pt made
FT JC 18th Berger not in top 25
Assist to TO ratio Nichols #1 JC #6 Berger not in top 25
Berger 5th in TO's 299 JC 11th 264
Career wins #2 JC 105 Berger 22nd with 83

Berger and JC are fairly even. You can make a case for both players.

Greg Jones is the best WVU point guard I have ever seen.

[Rootmaster]

The fan's choice of "best point guard" seems to match age lol.

Nah, I actually think Jevon Carter was the best in talent, work ethic, defense and offence and attitude. But not to mention Greg Jones along with the greats would just be wrong.

[Rootmaster]

Did they even have a "point" guard until 20 years ago or so? Ah the dawn of the overcoach.
