It’s not about accepting failure. I, along with any other fan hates losing. But UK football has structural issues that are real and hindering the program. The two biggest of those are lack of in-state talent and money. You don’t have to like that but it doesn’t mean it’s not true. You can huff and puff, but that won’t increase the amount of great WRs or LBs we pull from the state of KY or the amount of donor money ponying up pay NIL demands.

Huffing an puffing about it as people do is EXACTLY the Eeyore mindset, just with the Tigger nonchalance. MAYBE 3 PEOPLE on this site saw Stoops being able to do what he has done here, DOING EXACTLY what the person you are quoting is saying he didn't do. He won with much lower ranked recruiting classes than the rest of the SEC, WHILE THE SEC was CONSISTENTLY winning national titles. We have only struggled since we tried to focus on passing the ball more than we run it, changing the blocking scheme and the balance.

THIS fan base is psycho if not schizo. They think this place is Alabama, Florida, or Georgia, but they've never stood on the sidelines at Sanford Stadium and seen the quality and QUALITY DEPTH of the OL and DL for Georgia that DOESN'T even make the starting lineup. They have ZERO ******* CLUE wtf they are talking about, but think they understand because they've seen us play Georgia in CWS, and have season tickets to basketball.

Their state pride gets in the way of their reason more often than not. There's a reason Curry, Claiborne, and others didn't have as much success here as Stoops. There are VERY EXCELLENT reasons Bryant left for football in TX and AL. You'll never explain that to the LOD among UK Football "fans" because they don't care enough to reason through it.

UK Basketball has caused an entitlement mindset with regard to football, and there doesn't seem to be any fixing it.

Wait, what? Resident Dems swear such voting is impossible. WTF?

A friend of mine sent some screen shots of a conversation he had with a liberal on someone else's Fb wall. So ****ing mind-numbingly asinine and ridiculous that you'd think it was a bot programmed to just say stupid things all day.

The person he's friends with on Fb swears it's a real person. The only hope for them to finally wake up is that something REALLY BAD has to be done to them DIRECTLY by a fellow Democrat, or to a family member, and in such a way that they can't blame said Democrat perp's decisions on anybody but the perp.

Sadly, there is no chance they will wake up otherwise.

UK basketball has an amazing history because IT'S CHECKERS not chess, and because of Adolph Rupp.

Fify

Rupp made this basketball program into a generationally great program, and what he built allowed it to continue, sometimes in spite of some of the coaches that were hired, and in part because the SEC has been consistently more focused on football than basketball. For a half century the dominant college football teams were mostly the doormats of college basketball when compared to Kentucky.

The two sports cannot be remotely compared other than that. Managing 15 players playing 5 positions with 3-5 stars on the roster cannot be compared to handling a 100+ man roster that plays 11 men at a time with different rules for each and needs 3-5 different star players on each side of the ball to be competitive on a national level. Now bring NIL into it.... lmao

There are reasons we won't be competing for national titles in football. Just one of them is our lack of understanding of the sport as a fanbase

Career Criminal with Six Violent Arrests Released From Jail Rapes 4-Year-Old Child, Gives Her STD

Another monster released from jail has committed a heinous crime.

A career criminal with six violent arrests was released from jail, and weeks later, he raped a 4-year-old child and gave her a sexually transmitted disease.

Anthony Jelks, 25, was “well known” to Baton Rouge police because he has a history of violent arrests going back several years.

Just weeks after being released from prison after his most recent arrest, Anthony Jelks is accused of raping a little girl and giving her an STD.

“We’ve arrested him six times over the last 6 or 7 years,” Baton Rouge Police Chief T.J. Morse told WAFB. “Everything from firearms charges to domestic abuse battery, violation of protective orders. He’s currently on probation.”

WAFB obtained court documents revealing Jelks was previously arrested for punching a woman in the face, domestic abuse battery with serious bodily injury, child endangerment, and other firearms charges.

According to police, Jelks raped a child on August 1, just weeks after he was released from jail, and gave her Chlamydia.
Jelks finally turned himself in to the authorities on Monday morning.

I was referring to the play where a Vikings WR stumbled, coming out of his break, and the Bears corner unavoidably (obviously) tripped over him and it was called PI. which gave the Vikings a new set of downs. The ensuing score turned out to be the difference. Now, I hate the Bears, and as such, don't have a dog in the fight, but that call was absurd.

Meanwhile, Missouri won the sec east twice with an 11 and 12 win season, then won another ny6 bowl then followed it up with a 10 win season with a completely different coach. Missouri isnt a hotbed of talent. The sec school that no one accepts as an sec school.

I dont expect uk football to be elite, but in over a decade Stoops is still having trouble getting the correct number of players on the field, etc. We have lost infinite games by complete nonsense that were winnable. It would be one thing to lose to Ole miss on some shootout play...but its not acceptable going into half with the worst managed minute I've ever seen, the lack of discipline, blowing 3 timeouts...then a qb keeper on 3rd and 9 in the 2nd half.

Believe it or not, I had an MRI/CT (Brain) scan tonight. Left facility at 9:20 pm and Bears up 17-6 or thereabouts.

Essentially, the Bears did a Kentucky, and squandered a couple of scoring opportunities while simultaneously deciding that playing defense isn't really all that important. It was a pretty underwhelming performance by both teams.

Think of it as a "cripple fight" that's the best way I can think of to describe it.

So can any lib give a logical reason why its not a hate crime?

I'm going to go ahead and stop you right there. Not to point out the obvious, but liberals have no concept of logic. To them, it's like pondering infinity. So it's a given that they're not going to be able to recognize it and cite examples of it.

Aw. Must've touched a nerve for you to lose your **** and go perverse like a Lil Democrat *****. Never been a winning coach? Lmao. Reeks of the "fine people on both sides" BS from the left.

The fact that you whiney, pathetic, football morons can't even accept that this coach got this mediocre program to TWO different 10 win seasons with far inferior year over year recruiting rankings says it ALL. If you think admitting that fact is, in your perverse projection and lack of character, "going down on him," then you must personally choke on a lot of sailors.

It IS time to change. Well past time. I've said as much, and if you weren't so hysterical you might remember that. Stoops lost his way in his personal life and on the field after that 2nd 10 win season. I'm disappointed for him and his family, but it's not like we haven't all made mistakes. I hope he can salvage this season and find a better job for him somewhere else, and closer to his kids.

It's time for this program to go back to the occasional bowl games every couple decades so the LOD/negs can finally be right with their season predictions of doom. It's what got yall by when the basketball team wasn't making FFs. You deserve it, too. Those winning streaks against UF, UL, and USC were hard on yall. Don't know how you managed to survive.

But the real UK Football fans deserve the 10 win seasons. They showed up and refused to choke on their own chicken. They enjoyed those seasons and the 8 straight bowl games while yall were pssst off and gnashing your teeth, just like you were when Brooks was here and everyone of the LOD/negs wanted him fired from day one.

Lol... Both Brooks AND Stoops made yall eat some delicious and well deserved crow to go with the those LOD tears.

What's absolutely priceless is listening to people cry over losing a game where they said we wouldn't even compete and had no shot. That’s probably 70 SEC games now where yall had no clue wtf was going to happen before or during the game. At least you ARE consistent. I've had enough of making fun of you, for now. Put me back on ignore and rent that room in your head to a serious grudge. I've earned it. Lol

Blaming the fans again, are we?
No we suck because we are being coached by a 9 mill a year Joker Phillips. There isn't 1 person here demanding our program become
Bama or Ohio State level. We are just sick of watching year after year of the Washington Generals of college football. We are the joke of the SEC. And fans are the just sick of this excuse making. Don't lecture the fans for not understanding the sport, when our head coach clearly doesn't.

Sorry to hear you're still having all of that done. Are you doing alright?

Oh... and the BEARS happened... lol. Minnesota adjusted at halftime and the Bears collapsed offensively and defensively. Looked decent in the first half, but still had trouble hitting on all cylinders a few times. 4 false starts in the first half alone. 2 on one player. At home. Staged a Stoops prevent D before the half to give up a FG.

The bright spot was that defense put up 7 on their own. Always love that.

Couldn't even sell out the smallest stadium in the NFL for a rivalry game on MNF. The later generations of this family have drained this franchise and the city just like the politicians. Way past time to sell it

haha 'Because I'm trying to fix healthcare'

CUBAN: Half my family's Ukrainian! So, I think we should help.

TUCKER: How much money have you sent to Ukraine?

CUBAN: None.

TUCKER: Oh, so what do you mean by 'we?'

TUCKER: You're the one whose family's from Ukraine. Why don't you send them a billion dollars?

CUBAN: Because I'm trying to fix healthcare.

TUCKER: Why don't you fix their healthcare - if you think 'we' need to help, why don't you start? Why not you first? I notice that's never even an OPTION for anybody. It's like, 'we need to help!' That's not what charity is. Forcing other people to help is not charity.

Lmao!

You JUST SAID
1. the reason basketball has a great history is BECAUSE the fans demand it
2. Implying that the football team could have success if the fans demanded it,
3. In spite of the logic as to why it hasn't had lasting success.

You can call it a lecture if that's how you choose to see it. If you're one of those fans that always talks shtt about whatever coach is on the sidelines, I can see why it might seem like a lecture. If you're not, you took the post as being about you when it isn't.

"We're the joke of the SEC."

YEAH. In football you sure are. You managed to not be for a few years until recently though. Not that you'd know it. Being unable to admit the team had some success under this coach kinda confirms that now. Not being able to understand that UK HAS TO pay a coach more than what the position/school is worth in order to get what Stoops has earned kinda cements that it's a joke.

To say Stoops is comparable to Joker is real psychosis, however. The coach that was afraid to recruit 4 and 5 star players and crashed the momentum Brooks built is somehow comparable to a coach that put together recruiting classes with our first 5 star players and multiple 4 star classes, started a win streak against UF, UL, AND USC. Put together 10 win seasons. Finished the season ranked. 8 straight bowl games.

Yall are some mentally ill mofos when it comes to football, but whatever. Love yall anyway.

Thanks. I missed that play and didn't see it in the game cast either.

I knew you did, which makes your honesty about the play even more commendable. It's not something I've seen much of from Packers fans over the past 50+ years, or I'd have more respect for the lot. Not that you'd necessarily care, but you've earned mine.

I think your team will shred this version of the Vikings and the Lions as well for that matter. Other than the Bears being a rivalry game, I don't think you'll have too many issues beating them.

And yet no one at Mizzou is discrediting any of that success. So weird that they aren't tearing up the record books and calling those years "a fluke."

Why, in football terms, do you think they had initial success in the SEC?

I dont expect uk football to be elite,

Thats very gracious. Do you accept that we won 10 games in 2 different seasons under this coach? Just curious.

but in over a decade Stoops is still having trouble getting the correct number of players on the field, etc.

Yes. Discipline has been our weakness. We also lose key players to discipline issues almost every single year. Not to mention our backing into halftime and squandering opportunities that wind up making games close when they shouldn't be. Playing not to lose has cost us.

We have lost infinite (lol) games by complete nonsense that were winnable.

Not according to most of the negs. That's what is hilarious. They talk **** about the team all off season. Say to everyone that will listen that we're not going to win an SEC game. Then they whine when we're competitive but lose. There's no other place like this.

It would be one thing to lose to Ole miss on some shootout play...but its not acceptable going into half with the worst managed minute I've ever seen, the lack of discipline, blowing 3 timeouts...then a qb keeper on 3rd and 9 in the 2nd half.

There are ZERO acceptable losses. None. I don't care if we lose by 70 or by 1. They are all losses. They all suck.

Are there worse ways to lose? Sure.

It's pretty clear that Stoops is NEVER going to learn how to manage the clock. It's pretty clear he doesn't understand that HIS lack OF DISCIPLINE is affecting the teams lack of discipline. It's pretty clear that he is easily sold when it comes to OCs. Other than the running game, he has no idea what is going on or needs to on that side of the ball.

Hamdan was NOT the choice to make, but may have been the only option. This IS NOT a destination job for OCs. That's why so many coaches (particularly OCs) laugh when they talk about the UK job.

Either Stoops is too stubborn to fix or too lazy to fix the issues that have plagued his time as HC. Don't know which. Maybe he's just tired of being here. Again, I don't know. But if he fixed those issues, the formula for balanced offense with the BBWall, and a dual threat QB would've worked. He's just never been disciplined enough to stick with what was working.

It sucks, but I would rather he had fixed them than go the direction we have, which on offense is BACKWARDS in terms of the SEC. Now other teams are doing what worked for us, but doing it better than we did.

Yes!

Sadly, I miss the days when all they had was great defense (that would get tired late and falter from being on the field too long) that just beat the crap out of teams. The Bears haven't had much of an offense since they won the Super Bowl. Maybe a couple years here or there, but nothing like the Favre era in Green Bay. Nothing like the Roethlisberger era in Pittsburgh or Marino in Miami.

Hard to miss what you never had, I guess. Lol

So liberal are essentially 1 divided by 0

My hate for the Bears is more "customary" than anything. It's pretty much a responsibility when you're a Packers fan. Truth be told, I despise the Vikings more than any other team in the NFC. It's not even close.

Besides, any Packer fan that knows their history, is aware that George Halas and the Bears stepped up when the Packers were about to fold and go away. The Packers wouldn't even be around today w/o them, so I think some gratitude is in order. Even if it's a bitter pill to swallow.

The Vikings though, are, by league standards, new money/despicable. Pure trash. Plus, they lost ANY soul/respectability they had when they moved into a dome. They're terrible, and their fans are stupidly unaware of their own awfulness. By FAR the most "punchable" and stupid fans in the league. I hate them, and I hate their f***ing STATE.
