I'm confused by this from Fox News:

"The FBI responded on Saturday to a report that 274 plainclothes agents were at the U.S. Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021, clarifying the role of bureau personnel while still blasting former Director Christopher Wray.

While the agents were on hand, they were sent in after the riot had begun to try to control the unruly crowd, officials told Fox News Digital. That is not the proper role of FBI agents, and Wray was not forthcoming about what happened when he testified numerous times on Capitol Hill, Director Kash Patel said.

"Agents were sent into a crowd control mission after the riot was declared by Metro Police – something that goes against FBI standards," Patel told Fox News Digital. ""

Does this mean those 274 agents weren't embedded in the crowd but others were? Or something else?

Vance: "Unfortunately for James Comey, when I look at this indictment, I see a guy who LIED under oath and he'll have his day in court. He'll have his opportunity to prove the other case in front of the jury."

"But the idea that this is driven by politics, I think it's preposterous when you actually read the details of the indictment and the obvious fact that James Comey did lie under oath to Congress MULTIPLE times."

In related news, John Brennan has investigated John Brennan and determined he did nothing wrong:

I don't get the complaints about considering the A&M job. I completely understand a coach at that juncture of his career considering an opportunity that would have given him a much better chance of winning big. A great many of our fans had already been trying to push him out the door previous to that anyway.

You're right. It makes no sense. That's not unusual for our fans though. It definitely would've been a huge step up in terms of NIL, fanbase, history, and recruiting base. It's been a football school for a very long time.

I have zero problem with the fact that he was going take the A&M job. Why would it have been wrong to have taken a great opportunity? The NIL coming into play was obviously a factor as well.

The problem for him is that he wanted it and the rest of the staff (Marrow mostly) didn't. He didnt accept it for that reason. Turns out it was a good thing, because he wouldnt have had a job within a week, after the word got out. Then Marrow left for UL. "With friends like that..." as a buddy always says.

Marrow not being loyal worked out for Stoops. Not so much for UK fans.

At this point, I’d just like to reach a level where we are not the butt of jokes being cracked by guys calling the game on TV.

“Good news/bad news for UK, as they are just now having their first punt of the night. *chuckles* Yeah, normally you’d be happy about that. *chuckles*”

Think about how bad it was for these commentators for years having to be uncritical of UK Football. They can finally go back to their usual disdain. Had to have been difficult for them to not swing at the perceived low hanging fruit.

The college sports ones really are the worst and most unprofessional among all of football. Turned on the UT game and they were so far up the UT ***hole that they didn't realize a kicker missed a field goal by 15 yards wide right.

Game is over amigo:

"Now his spree of crime and violence is over after being arrested by Blythe Station agents following a vehicle stop. Jhoan Jose Boada, a Venezuelan national, illegally entered the U.S. in December 2023. One month later, he was involved in an assault on police officers. On Thursday, agents encountered Boada Marquez traveling with two other Venezuelan nationals. All were arrested and face charges for alien inadmissibility, fines, and deportation. In addition, multiple high-end watches, jewelry, a mask, and body armor were found in the vehicle, which may lead to additional criminal charges.

Need to put that first picture of him on a t-shirt and put it on him in a max security facility in the midwest for about a week.

He would be a great fit in Uganda or South Sudan.

I still have a humongous collection of those fest mugs that I stole errrrr.. were given to me throughout my years in Bavaria.
Same here. Got entire Major Training Area (MTA) collection -- Grafenwöhr, Hohenfels, Wildflflecken + Baumholder and Vogelsang and a few others.

Too many, really. Close German friend gave me fest mug with our German/American ADA battalions last year. PITA getting it home in one piece. Made it. though.

The NC shooter wasn't, I don't think, politically motivated. After learning more about him, I removed my post about him from last night.

He was wounded severely in Afghanistan (Marine) including a head shot and took a severe amount of shrapnel in both legs.

Anyway, I'm in no way excusing or minimizing what he did, but reading his lawsuits and some of stuff he wrote, it's clear that he didn't come out of the war okay. He's an extremely disturbed individual and it seemed, just on what I've seen, that he struggled mightily to get the help he needed desperately. It's a really sad story (as far as I can tell so far)

Well no matter what the money is...you'd think he'd wanna walk away from a fan base that's gonna hate his guts if he stays much longer. Similar to Cal getting the hell outta here (though Stoops probably won't have a HC job open for him)
This. These guys have incredibly large egos and need it stroked constantly. Problem is Calipari was a product in demand. Stoops isn't. He will not find another respectable program dumb enough to pay him what Barnhart is paying him. So some sort of negotiation will have to happen. What we are watching is unacceptable. We could have kept Joker for much less and have the same outcomes.
