At this point why should any of us have any faith in our DOJ or Congress? They can all give strongly-worded public statements and then sweep everything under the proverbial rugs in private.

Nope. It's not. Christianity is based off the Bible and recognizing the Son of God. Judaism is a combination of interpretations of the Bible, additions to the bible, and ancestor worship. They are both based on parts of the Bible, but Christianity and Judaism have no direct relationship to each other.
If it WERE true, they would respect Christianity rather than hate it. Which they do. They like the support they get from Christians just fine, but would lend to them at interest when they would not for someone Jewish. They don't see Christians as brothers, but as outsiders, usurpers, or at best necessary allies.
This was the work of God, that ALL were temporarily blinded to what the Son would accomplish so that it could be done. He took the greed of the rich in the land and used it "for the good of those who love Him and keep His commandments." What you said in this post is in FACT based on scripture, whether you know it or not, and the spirit has led you to that understanding.

Christianity is based on the entire bible, both old and new testaments, to include the Pentateuch, which forms the basis of the Hebrew bible. so they most certainly are directly related. Most, if not all, of the Hebrew bible points to a Messiah and Jesus came to fulfill the Hebrew scripture. The Pharisees were too blind with lust, greed, and power and would never accept a commoner as their Savior. But Jesus said many times that he came to fulfill the scripture (the Jewish scripture we refer to as the OT). Others more savvy or articulate can describe it better. But without Judaism around 2000 years ago, there would be no Christianity.
