This rob reiner situation is still paying dividends for libs. Serious, and easily avoidable, misstep. I don't understand it. He started out doing such a great job of avoiding these missteps.
I’m sold. Let’s bring in 50 million more of them. No way can Americans figure out how to scam people at gas stations or do basic tech.
His ego is out of control and he’s surrounded by yes men. That’s the truth. He has no idea how to STFU. What’s crazy is he has Stephen Miller and others who can communicate on his behalf to avoid missteps but he doesn’t. No one is there telling him “Hey, maybe don’t fire off that tweet after Reiner just got murdered.”
He talks too much. There’s no reason as a lame duck president to have to do this either. You want to make moves? Make them behind the scenes and stop ranting on X. Does more harm than good.
This crap was effective when campaigning but it serves no purpose now at all and only harms your chances in a situation where people are already pretty pissed off about the economy and a variety of other issues of disappointment regarding Congress and this admin.
Is anyone with a brain (yeah, I'm excluding Democrats here...) surprised?

Anything short of 100% pure nationalism is not a serious country or it's a completely conquered country. Letting foreigners come in and tell you how things are going to go is a full-stop. Serving other nations should be a full-stop.

I’ll say this. I personally would not have made such a post about the death of that man and his wife.
However I haven’t been the focus of YEARS of massive, unrelenting, baseless, wildly false, and despicable attacks from that man and many others like him… attacks which likely lit the flame and encouraged lunatics to attempt to assassinate me… TWICE.
So I won’t judge.
I’ll also say anyone is kidding themselves if they think Reiner wouldn’t have gleefully danced on Trump’s grave if either of the assassination attempts had been successful.
I don't blame the guy for feeling what he feels. It's his inability to control himself at all. First off, I wouldn't wish Reiner's end on anyone. Nobody.
There's a guy I hate. If I heard he got devoured by mountain lions, I wouldn't shed a single tear but I also wouldn't run to social media to spike the football and taunt him in death and certainly wouldn't do it as a public figure whose association will significantly impact my peers trying to win elections and my base who needs us to not lose so my agenda has a chance of being implemented for 2027-2028.
You also aren't the president of the United States with rapidly approaching midterms. Should he dance on the grave of everyone that mean tweeted him?
There was zero benefit to that tweet. Absolutely none. All it did was unit loads of people against such a display from the president.
All he had to do was stay silent. As he showed many times before, he just cant.
I was really hoping, more than anything; that we'd get another full day of debate about Trump's tweet concerning Rob Reiner.

Let me add that reiner is a deplorable person imo. Im definitely not defending him. Im saying the president cannot make sure careless statements about someone especially after they were just brutally murdered.
Of course once Trump passes those dancing on his grave will be heroes to the left. Just wait and see. Most Democrats politicians will join them, but some will see it’s a bad look, cost them votes.
