Soybean farmers relied on China, you know our actual geopolitical threat as opposed to to Russia that you have a hard on towards. Their reliance on China was used as a negotiating tool by China.
Trump says that because people like you are harping that tariffs are causing price increases, which they aren’t. People voted for him to bring back manufacturing, a Steel mill in St Louis is coming back online specifically due to the tariffs. A zinc plant in TN is adding a 6 billion dollar smelter because of the tariffs. Those are good, blue collar jobs that you apparently think shouldn’t be here because you don’t like tariffs.
I don’t care if people oppose deportations, it’s the law, you can’t just stroll into the country and set up shop. Because that undercuts US wages, that is without a doubt a fact, but you’re good with it apparently as long as you can get cheap sh@t, citizens be damned.
The Republicans are likely to lose the midterms even if Trump did everything the Dems wanted, I’d rather he get sh/t done than play patty cakes hoping the Dems like him, but that’s just me.
