I know but it is appearing more and more likely this site is becoming not worth using. I'd love to be wrong but given the total lack of communication so far it's not looking good. It's not like there is a known rule against it as far as I know. Just having a little fun with the situation.

They have a political forum that can host however many threads are desired on different subjects. But it seems there is one particular thread that is the most heavily used, which would be most comparable to this thread. When I say “heavily used,” it’s not nearly like this thread had been over the years, but that’s because there were only a couple people (admins who appear to be lefties, but they allow posters to engage) who seem to frequent the thread. That of course changes if a whole bunch of new members such as ourselves start frequenting the site.
You do have to ask to be granted access to visit the political forum. It doesn’t even appear in the forums list for you see until you ask and they add it to your profile. But they are pretty quick to grant access. They had it done within 10 minutes when I posted a request.
I enjoy a balanced discussion but thats just me. Ya 90% of their stuff is just spam links and nonsense, but its good to remind me exactly how misguided they really are.

There are further reaching implication. Locking that thread because they don't like the content gives a very clear picture of how moderation will be here. So any critical discussion of a coach or player is likely to be met with the same locked approach.
Maybe you want a forum where all discussion is a mild variation of agreement, but that isnt discussion at all. Most everyone that migrated here wants actual discussion, so they will quickly start bleeding active users. Ya the ksr fan boys will stay, but they were already here and not part of the acquisition.

Plus we will see political posts appearing in several other threads. Nowadays politics unfortunately permeates everything. Before, we could tell people to post it in the political forum, but now there will be no outlet.

It is very, very liberal. It needs a transfusion of conservative voices.
When I first started posting on the political forum many moons ago I was very much interested in engaging in civil discourse with folks I disagree with. And that was possible back then. But over time the two sides have become completely divided with zero middle ground. All it is, is one giant pissing contest between the two, and honestly the two sides hate each other. I personally put all the libs on ignore, there's just no point in engaging them for me. So I'd love to see us have two separate threads for each other. But, I'd bet the farm that the libs won't be able to stay on their own thread. They hate the opposition more than they care about their own ideals. They won't be able to help themselves.
That's a noble position.
I just really love ridiculing them.

He has just a few variations of himself. The jameslee/mid one is exactly the same. You are remembering Jameslee from RR where he posted as a fan. Jameslee from the pt is the exact same persona.
His personas have a shelf life and the paddock is where they come to die. The mid one posted exclusively on RR and now exclusively here. Cal is long gone. A Cal related handle comes across as stupid, even for RR. The same goes for the TrustInCal. He burns them up here until being ignored hits critical mass. Then they are gone and a new one takes over.
When I looked up dion's insights on the meme guy yesterday, Jameslee was still posting in that era. Mid October, 2023. It's all in the og thread, until it's not.
