FWIW, I dont WANT to seperate the two. I want it to be like what it was on RR.
But if all that's going to happen on these new forums, is that any heated political talk causes the thread to get locked, then we need dedicated political threads. Either that, or the mods need to relax on the general Political thread and just let it be.

I post here non stop? I've posted on a political thread about 5 separate days total in my, over a decade, of being a member on here. In what way would that be considered "non-stop"? People just love making up bologna on here and as long as its directed at a common enemy thats good enough to be a fact for eachother.

Our law enforcement has a very challenging job at all levels, but citizens should never be against transparency and accountability.

Just like our political leaders in all parties, public transparency should be a core tenant, accountability applied to those that habitually violate policies and attempt corrupt practices.

But then the alternative, is the mods needs to allow the political forum to just exist as is. When threats are being made, or purposefully spamming, targeting, etc.. then someone can report that person, and a mod can intervene.
But you can't have it both ways. The political thread needs to be loose, or else it wont work and it's just going to get locked every day (assuming it even gets unlocked).

I don't disagree with you entirely to be honest. I'm actually not a MAGA guy although I do support Trump. But there's at least common ground to be found there and it's worth having discussions. Most ppl can handle criticism of Trump as long as it's fair and you aren't just a liberal bashing him. Libs get the extreme Maga crowd defensive and I understand why.

Your post at 8:41am and beyond says otherwise. You said, in a post angled specifically to me and my idea, that the two threads concept wouldn't work, and I retorted as to how it could.. that literally IS the topic at hand. It's the only reason I quoted you, was the purpose to discuss the very idea of having two different political forums.
It can work, it could be permission based.. it could be that liberals have their own thread.. or it could be based on etiquette. If I went to the liberal forum and started to get mouthy, I'd expect to be shown the door (I wouldn't go there anyways, which is what's so hilarious to me about this topic).
OR, as I've stated, we just go back to the way the political forum was before, because that was working. Let people respond to and ignore whoever. No need to lock the thread.
