From Coffee & Covid:
Jon Stewart does not look well. He’s also struggling with overwhelming emotions that should feel familiar to regular readers of this Substack: political helplessness. “Seventy-five million Americans voted for a Democrat in this last round of presidential elections,” he complained bitterly on his latest show, “and there has not been a moment of conciliation or concern about the issues and policies that drove those seventy-five million votes.”

In other words, it isn’t fair. He failed to see the irony of the last four years, while Democrats practically stuck needles into our eyeballs, ransacked our CVS’s, and otherwise made our day-to-day lives as miserable as possible. All Republicans are doing is fulfilling Trump’s campaign promises, and too slowly for most conservatives, at that.

Stewart was wrong in another way, too. Democrats aren’t that helpless. After all, they shut down the federal government. At least, I think it’s still shut down— how can anyone tell?

Anyway, loyal progressive soldier that he is, Stewart was really just pushing the complicated progressive narrative that the shutdown, with the blame now firmly pinned on Democrats, is all about “preserving healthcare.” Ironically, while complaining that Republicans are ignoring the losing party’s medical care preferences, he was simultaneously advocating for an overpriced government healthcare plan that Democrats pushed through without a single Republican vote.

You can’t make this stuff up. I might be speaking out of turn here, but it seems to me that Republicans happily allow Democrats to keep Obamacare; just don’t force us into the useless program along with you.

Whatever else Stewart’s annoying emotional outburst was, it wasn’t funny. Bring back real comedy.

They will join the long list of folks crying about how much student loan debt they are in and that they expected to get a job straight out of college paying them 6 figures with no experience and ridiculous demands such as WFH because they have a degree that nobody gives a crap about.
Student loans should be denied for anyone getting these useless degrees. They should fall into a certain category of elective degrees or something. Line elective surgeries that insurance won’t pay for. Basically if you choose to study this nonsense, your on your own.

I don't care what degree the loans are for. What I care about is getting the government out of the loan business & letting students deal with private lenders.

If prosecutors do not believe there to be a case that can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, they should decline prosecution. What little I have reviewed of this case suggests this is a good decision.
Every now & then u come to the right conclusion.

Conservative pundits saying chances are a jury full of Liberals will most likely be a hung jury and no conviction is to be expected no matter what they prove. Of course, there is still a chance, but slim.

Yea, no idea what that guy was thinking. He has a GIANT base, and I’m betting a pretty big percentage fully support what ICE is doing.

Just another example of how talent doesn’t equate to intelligence.

This is also another example of how talent doesn't equate to publication, popularity, or success. These people are all chosen and continue to be chosen based on openness to a narrative over time. When they cross certain lines they mysteriously become unpopular in the media and their sales "plummet."

I started saying this very thing on here basically as far back as this thread goes. Its literally the only way their actions make sense. When you change that frame of mind, their actions make total sense.

They aren't stupid. They're just traitors.

Decades of calling cast iron "iron" and other people being afraid to do the same because it's been promoted as "being mean" or "hateful."

It's a flaw in humanity that people are so worried about feelings that they throw truth, logic, and reasoning (good judgment) out the window, because they don't want to appear unkind. Many Christians fall into this trap laid for them by Democrats, religious leaders, and the media, all because they forget the word of Jesus to the Pharisees and others on many occasions. They are called to oppose falsehood and substitutions for the truth.

Maybe, Browning definitely hasn't panned out, but late in the third quarter Sunday he played well. Yeah, I know, little too little too late. If he could play like that the whole time... Yes, and I realize, Detroit was in cruise control about that time too.

He's a good QB, imo. I was surprised he did so poorly in recent games. (His OC definitely didn't help him out) But the backups get so few reps with the 1s during preseason that it shocked me how well he played when Burrow got hurt. I think the difference is that no one had prepared for him at QB. There is enough of him now, and he just doesn't have as much experience as Flacco.

They have film on Flacco too, but the big deal with guys that have won Super Bowls is they have won big games in spite of the opposition having tons of game film on them. I think that's what separates them from the perennial backups. It's field vision and speed in decision making really. Flacco being 4 inches taller than Browning makes a difference as well.

The number comes from the city's police department. Who does the follow-up to double check?

If they simply don't report them, they just miscategorize them.

I trust very few stats these days.

Sure... you can be off a little due to things that you listed. But it's still pretty hard to hide a significant amount of murders. Why? Because cities usually list who was murdered and where they were murdered. So it's easy to check and pressure cities or the FBI if they omit your buddy being shot.

Robberies and assaults, however, I don't believe ANY of it. Why? Because if you were mugged in a place like Oakland, it will do absolutely no good to go to the cops because nothing will happen.

This excerpt was sent to me. Heading to tcn to watch the full video

This is ****ed up! And really underscores exactly why the northeast and Cali are fully foreign controlled. We need to not just stop this but REVERSE IT. ALL of it.

Whats the big deal about blowing up drug boats if this is what's happening inside the borders? (Besides theater I mean)

Tucker is REALLY the only former big media journalist that is doing real and actual journalism these days. This one is HUGE. This is just a clip of the bigger interview but tells you he's not afraid to attack the real issues

Speaking of murder rates, stats, and such. This may surprise you (if you know what you're looking at...)
