So you claim. Maybe they think it's better to fight. Have you voted with bombs raining down on your polling station?

Do you only promote war or have you fought in a war?

Just what percent of total voters is many?
What percentage of Ukrainians fled the country and are refugees elsewhere?

We could be victims of terrorism while voting.

Great story, Elaine.

I'm for Ukraine winning regardless of who their leader is. That could change if I remotely thought s/he was as evil as Putin.
Then maybe you should be for democracy for the Ukrainians.

How big of a lot are you buying? If you’re paying 200K for a >1 acre lot in a subdivision, you aren’t in a subdivision building affordable homes. That’s a lot priced for $2 million dollar homes and up. Lots should be about 10-15% of the cost of the home being put on it.

That is the actual cost of an existing 1/8 acre lot listed IN Lexington. Yes, it's a very desirable area with expensive homes.

Sure, there are even smaller 30k lots on which to build 500-700 sq ft homes. Very narrow lots. Realistically, a lot of people don't want to live in that small of a house, and there's no profit in building it for a contractor. For an investor/landlord that's a different story.

No. This woman from the posted video.

They just keep making these SNL skits more and more hilarious. Finally some good comedy. I like how they chose a boyish cast member to talk about using "fun ****" to seduce "red neck" men away from their conservative wives.... lol! Unless they're talking about hunting and fishing (and remaining mostly silent for hours at a time), going to the gun/archery range, or rebuilding a 67 Mustang, I don't think "fun stuff" is going to do it for most conservative men.

All this video does for me is remind me to get info on the Louisville tractor pull and farm machinery show in Feb 2026.

I am all for sticking it to big food. Just like I posted above they have grown all powerful from tax subsidies. Big meat has been involved in price collusion for decades and have been caught multiple times. Massie's bill won't do ish to help, though.

Thing is, farmers have been selling direct to the public for years, but people are not willing to pay the prices the farmer wants for their product. I know a guy who just closed up shop. There is plenty of feed corn to be had, but the cost of raising a beef is insane. People just won't pay 3k for full beef.

If the current pricing holds or goes lower, we're buying a steer in the spring. God willing it will be finished by next fall and in the freezer by October. If we only get 900 lbs out of it, it'll be less than $3 per lb. May do a herd share as well for investment purposes.

Massie's bill wants to allow custom meat processors, aka; slaughterhouses, to sell direct to restaurants and the public. He also wants to do away with inspections on said facilities. Many processors already sell direct, so I'm not sure what that's about,

He wants to get ahead of legislation that is being lobbied for in congress that will put further restrictions on independent farms selling direct. Proposing the bill is both an effort to shed light on what's coming as well as head it off, but at least exposing who in DC is being paid not to allow small farms in the future to do business locally. Not everything has to be a big bill to get the job done, so it may help.

but no inspections is bad. I can't tell you how bad of an idea that is. If you have never been inside of a meat processor then you have no idea how bad the bad ones really are.

The problem right now with beef are multifold. Subsidies, again, have driven many beef farmers into grain farming because the profits are great, more stable, and less regulated. EPA is a ***** for farmers. Screw worms in Mexico are messing up the supply in a bad way. Worse still they are moving north and Texas is prime beef country. It's game over if they hit there. Water shortages in the west are causing people to give up farming all together. Herds are at a multi-decade low and are not recovering.

All of that has led to cattle selling sky high, the highest I have ever seen, and it doesn't seem like it's going to get better any time soon. If I were a conspiracy theorist I might just say it was done on purpose.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, and I do say it was done on purpose. The only thing I've heard lately that is still a red-meat-related conspiracy theory is that the alpha gal spreading ticks were genetically modified or infected and then released in national forests to spread the sickness and drive people away from red meat consumption.

Very well could be the same situation for the screw worms.

Right now AI basically just regurgitates wiki, msm, or reddit. They are woke so that's what you get.

AI isn't even really intelligence of any sort. Its just an aggregator.

You're right. They aren't really a.i. The only decisions they make at this point are what to censor and what to include in results. It's clearly defined programming, under the guise of a.i. so the liberals and globalists programming them can claim plausible deniability.

Off topic. Those that know me remember me talking about elevated prostate readings to which I had to go back to my Dr for a finger exam. Now my doctor of thirty plus years retired so now this young lady that I swear can be a model is my new primary. She is a 50 on a scale of 1-10. When I went in for the exam, I was nervous because I never had anybody or anything probe the behind. It was no issue for me but I red flagged her when I went back three weeks in a row. She said no need for that. Another time she was checking the nads as I was worried about one being larger. Again, no issue except for when I started running my fingers through her hair. Now fast forward to today, I went in for my 6-month checkup, all vitals being good and so on, but she ordered a full blood test, urine, and stool sample. Nurse told me to leave my urine in the window then come back to the room for her to get a stool sample. Well, I thought I would kill two birds with one stone, so I just left my boxers in the urine sample window...Now I have to find a new primary care Dr. SMDH

Address to the old primary care Doc? Asking for a friend. Wife won't let me go back to this one-

Why do people always say they're not resisting while they're resisting? I know it's a Democrat thing....
To be fair, it would be hard for anyone that big to put their little hooves behind their back. Needed to drive it into a cattle cage first and then tie it up. Could have even branded or tagged its ear while there.

Deep fried turkey for the win.

Used to be before the oil got so expensive. Haven't done that for a long time since.

Side note- a friend went to a family Thanksgiving dinner one year at his in-laws somewhere rural. Can't remember where. When he got to the house there was a mad scramble going on and a lot of noise. They parked by the barn and walked over to the house with their arms full of side items and casserole stuff. They asked what was going on because the oldest relative was sitting in a lawn chair laughing. He couldn't even talk. Found out later the newly married niece's husband, who was cooking the turkey, didn't thaw it all the way before he dropped it into the deep fryer.

Turkey and oil went everywhere

Someone needs to do an a.i. ICE rodeo video. Could be sponsored by Monsanto's "Roundup"!
They could use healthy food to drive the larger ones into the stall before letting em loose.

Yeah, deep trying a turkey is not a game that should be played by idiots who don’t thaw the turkey.
