What 44% of voting age people hear when you say "cutting govt spending" is not what the rest hear. It sounds like money out of their pockets when they're already on a limited budget.

260M adults in the US
41M on snap
74M on SS or disability and likely also Medi-

That's 115M people out of 260M. Doesn't even count the bloated govt work force, nor the essential military, local, and state govts. Think about that for a minute.

20M work for state & local govt
2.5M work in civilian fed govt
O.5M+ work for postal service
3M work for US military directly (civ and mil)
4M work for companies contracted by the govt

Add that all up- 145M people work for or are dependent upon the govt budgets.

56% of all people in this country of voting age, as far as what's disclosed (doesnt count informants and clandestine contractors), are dependent on the govt budget.
“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.”

The housing market is interesting. My big prediction is that as boomers really start to get into their golden years, we are going to see a yearly influx of boomer homes hitting the market. It's an unfortunate reality of life. Most know I lost my mom recently. But this is a perfect example of what will happen, that I went through: A boomer will go into assisted living, or pass away, and that house will have to go to the child/children. The child will either keep it as they need a home (removing a buyer), or if they already have a home one will get sold (adding supply back).

Boomers own anywhere from 41-45% of homes. That supply will inevitably be relinquished and I think thats going to really open up the housing market and flood the following generations with wealth.
But I'm in no rush to get ours on the market.

Since we have discussed here how big a **** hole Charlotte has become...

I read that the median age in Charlotte is like 34 years old.

But you just have to look at demographics

34% black
17% foreign born

That right there pretty much shows it will be a Democrat s-hole forever. All of these cities always have the same things in common- affluent white liberals- high back population- lots of poor ppl/minorities.

When is London going to get cleaned up?

Hell, when is California?

You can vote your way in, but not out has never been more true.
When right wing governments are elected that have a mandate to cut welfare and housing to foreigners, and to then put them on a plane home, at the point of a rifle if necessary.

The British people do not have the will anymore to do such things.

Echoing what some have already said.

And honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the goal as it is to pine for big government saving.

EVERY govt of every nation goes through this. They spend themselves into oblivion, then there is upheaval and the cycle continues. EXCEPT NOW we're coming to the end of that cycle due to electronic surveillance and the criminals that are gaining control over it.

A govt of the people, by the people, and for the people doesn't work like this. It doesn't want nor does it need this kind of control and abuse of power. The end has been a long time coming, and the founders knew this is how it would be overthrown. A small group of people ruling over the means of production and ownership, running roughshod over the rights of the law-abiding in order to guarantee their personal prosperity were always the enemy.

Govts ARE beasts, as appropriately described by the prophets of the old and new testaments. They do not reason unless reason is forced upon them by a strong leader. They are instinctual and operate to ensure their dominance and/or place in the pecking order. They trample and devour.

When I used to read the Bible, I was astounded at how quickly Israel went from doing what was right to worshipping dead ancestors/false gods. Now that I can see with my own eyes how govts work, I am no longer astounded. It's expected.

A lot of them are putting everything into an irrevocable trust, to protect it from Medicare look back, and inheritance tax.

I watched a friend last year, spend his last 11 months in a Medicare approved nursing home. I'm telling you right now, as Cypress Hill sang, "I Ain't Goin' Out Like That." I'm setting up measures, and I'm not afraid to die.
I think you mean Medicaid. Letting of of assets five years beforehand is hard to plan, but yes.

The problem is what they always do—- they eff up the place through their policies- the leftists then flee the area while never connecting the dots to what they inflicted on everyone with their politics- and then proceed to ruin the next place.

It happens over and over again. There are no lessons learned. That’s not who these people are. They can’t do it.
We act like we don’t know what to do. It’s an easy fix. Cut off free **** to illegals, pass a law or EO to denaturalize those who are on welfare or who promote anti-American ideology, and make them leave. Declare Islam to be a national security threat instead of pretending it is something the Founders gave equal footing to Christianity.

People, we can just do things. All it takes is a spine.

These things have to be done asap. Our greatest city just suffered a disaster.

Criminals don't stop being criminals unless forced to do so. Same for fools. This is where we are with liberals/communists. All the talking and posturing only makes the fool/criminal double down.

The fact they weren't a surprise is in and of itself bad. New Jersey recently had a gop governor. Virginia had youngkin who was popular. Yet both states now have dem women as gov.

An open socialist and Muslim won nyc. JD vance's brother couldn't win mayor of Cincinnati despite the massive wave of crime the last several months.

Maine went further left instead of towards the center.

So no they weren't surprises but that doesn't in any way negate the very disturbing trend to the left when the right should be winning on key issues in all these cities and states.

That is what should happen but do you seriously think dims would go along with any of it? Especially if Trump supports it.

Removing illegals and foreigners kneecaps their electorate and their presence in Congress.

When there are enough foreigners here to destroy the 2A, the country will fracture.
Worrying about what democrats think is the last thing anybody should care about.

Cincinnati ravaged by gang violence the last few months. The once lucrative area of OTR smack in the middle of it. Bleeding money.

Their answer? Elect all dems.

Yes i know its easy to laugh about how stupid it is, and it is, but there is a bigger concern. These voters feel like they don't have an option. The gop has zero grass roots efforts. No structure.

The results are that people vote for who they hear from and hear about. Dems just so massively outwork the gop it causes results like we saw yesterday.

Trying to figure out how to say this without getting the ban—-

judges should face public justice.
Occasionally.

The good news is, it just happened. Remember Bianca Ellis and judge Brian Hagan? The fat broad what killed that toddler in front of her mom in a grocery parking lot? And he had let crazy self out just prior to the crime?

Well, Hagan just lost his seat last night. To another Democrat, no less.

Heisman, this is by your favorite Jew, Ben Shapiro.

"A group of white supremacists known as the “groypers” is maliciously attempting to subvert the conservative movement. The main agent of their normalization within the GOP is Tucker Carlson, who is now being aided and celebrated by one of the key organizations of the traditional right, the Heritage Foundation ............

Nick Fuentes, the groypers’ 27-year-old leader, urges his followers to “kill, rape and die” for him. He proclaims that a lot of women want to be raped, praises Jim Crow and insists that “perfidious” Jews should be expelled from America or be killed. He claims the MAGA movement is a “scam.”

Mr. Carlson, who interviewed Mr. Fuentes last week, has recently reinvented himself as a conspiracy peddler and apologist for America’s enemies.
He’s defended Vladimir Putin, massaged Iran’s dictatorship, praised Venezuela’s, and minimized Hamas’s atrocities. He claims Christian Zionists have a “brain virus” and calls Jews who care about Oct. 7 “un-American.”
Mr. Carlson’s most common tactic is ideological laundering: He hosts guests with ugly ideologies, soft-pedals their views and launders them into mainstream respectability. He claims he’s “just asking questions,” and that’s precisely what he did last week: Mr. Carlson ignored Mr. Fuentes’s most toxic views, providing him a signal boost while making him palatable for a broader audience. Never mind that doing so betrayed Mr. Carlson’s friends. Mr. Fuentes spent years attempting to destroy Charlie Kirk, assailed his grieving widow and says that Vice President JD Vance’s interracial marriage ought to invalidate him for higher office. Mr. Carlson didn’t ask about any of that—to do so would have undermined his mission, which is to legitimize Mr. Fuentes and co-opt his audience.

As a reward, he received a vociferous defense from the Heritage Foundation’s president, Kevin Roberts, who publicly declared eternal commitment to Mr. Carlson. Mr. Roberts smeared Mr. Carlson’s critics as “globalists,” a foreign “venomous coalition . . . sowing division.” These aren’t merely lies—they betray the legacy of Heritage, an institution that was supposed to be rooted in conservative ideas, not personal loyalty to a man who undermines them.
The Republican Party, like the Democratic Party before it, is at risk of being eaten alive by fringe actors. To allow it is both morally unjustifiable and politically obtuse. Americans reject this garbage. If Republicans cower before Nazi apologists and their popularizers, the GOP will lose—and deserve to.

Note: Marley, please complain again because of its length.

Not the length, but that it's an opinion piece from the wsj.

Why post it? No one is reading all that drivel, except you.

Because I think it's good perspective & mostly agree with.

Don't read it. Lots of things on here I pass over. Lots of the Bible back & forth for example.

I will not vote for a woman with two last name. You read that right. Pick one. Don't like it, do not care. It is a huge red flag to me. The NJ race shouldn't surprise anyone. NJ always stays blue. Maine has a huge welfare problem right now, so considering what is happening that isn't a surprise either.

The mid terms are going to hinge on insurance and jobs. It's open enrollment and people are crapping kittens right now over the bump in their premiums. Many had no idea why they were getting "help" from the exchange. The others can't understand why their job provided insurance is going up since they weren't on the exchange at all. Both groups are pissed and both groups vote.

If Trumps big promises of mass amounts of jobs hits before the mid terms then things will probably stay pretty close to what we have now. Dems might take one side of the congress, but probably not both. It took Reagan's reforms two years to manifest. Two more to really roll. We had all better hope that Trump's reforms move a tad faster. The Dems, of course, will sow as much Chaos as possible to make sure that doesn't happen.

I'm through worrying about NYC. A voting base that stupid doesn't deserve my concern, or my help (when they're reaching for a life-line in a few) years.

Let 'em burn.
Washington was right to burn that ********. To bad it didn't take.

38% of New York is foreign born. Dominicans, Chinese, and Mexicans make up the largest blocks. Considering that, and the fact that single women can vote, it isn't a surprise he won.

I wish I could say he will fail immediately, but this is the preverbal last stand for the left. Democratic Socialism wins there or it dies there. Money will pour into Mami's programs to make sure that they do not fail until it is to late to save the city, and maybe the nation.

Now that I have bored you with my astounding insights, maybe I can entertain you a bit.
