It just me or do SEC refs just not call grounding anymore? Who was the WR in the area of the pass? I feel like the refs should have to announce the # of the WR who was in the area.

This was not a great crew to be kind. Holding, illegal contact downfield, and late hits in the first half all not called and favoring Florida. Blew all kinds of calls and some they should have called against us in the 2nd half They didn't even want to be on the field and mailed it in. Compete joke.

Lindsey Graham went to Israel five times from October 2023-March 2024.

A senator going to a foreign nation that many times. Also same guy was all about George Floyd and the left’s narrative.

He also told Capitol police to shoot January 6th protestors in the head.

This is the guy who gets to determine who is MAGA and who Trump campaigns for.

Unrelated but VH, EAD, old man 😂Throw your computer away and go dig up McCain’s corpse and bury your head into his a$$

LG makes me sick. Hate to see him get a pass on all of this schmidt he's shoveled.

A new restaurant chain in New York City is turning heads — and raising eyebrows — by hiring Filipino hostesses who appear on Zoom screens instead of working on-site. The concept, used by Sansan Chicken, Sansan Ramen, and Yaso Kitchen across Manhattan, Queens, and Jersey City, relies on the wage gap between New York’s $16 minimum wage and the Philippines’ $3.75 hourly pay.

At the counter, customers are greeted by live video hosts from the Philippines who take orders, answer questions, and even receive 18% tips — the same as in-person staff. “

What a bunch if douche canoe DAs. Architects of their own demise and won't even think twice about it. Wow

This is going on in other places than just NY. When you pull up to a drive through in KY, you might be talking to someone in AZ, or China, or where ever. Self order kiosks are everywhere now. The restaurants have found that people order more from a kiosk than from the counter. Eventually a robot will cook and bring your meal to the table.

99% of the time I make the cashier take my order. I'm not paid to take my own order, and I'm certainly not tipping an online cashier jack ****. Wtf... I don't go through self checkout much either.

At some point we have to decide to put a stop to this sht, even if it's inconvenient.

If they won't open more checkout lanes, they can also put the food back I just gathered. Waste my time and I'll waste theirs.

My buddy and I went to the game. He told me he thought we could beat them by 3 TDs. I thought we COULD, but not after that miffed punt. He never wavered. I thought it was going to be like last week. I should've listened to him.

Enjoyed every minute (but the last of the 1st half, as usual) after that gift of a TD.

Florida fans that were left were filing out by the beginning of the 4th quarter. Only one stalwart remained in our section. Cheered for their first down on the last drive. Struck me then that UF fans finally knew what it was like to be in CWS getting your ask beat for 4Qs during a UF/UK FB game and cheering when you finally get a first down late in the game with the backups in there.

Almost cried I was so happy when Dowdell broke that big run for a TD. Had just said how great it would be if they broke one off like that. What an absolutely (almost) perfect night.
Someone tell Spurrier they had a good punter

I think it's clear that if Kentucky beats 10-0/OVC champion Tenn. Tech, that he'll be back next year. (unless we just get humiliated by Vandy and Louisville)

What can we take from this? Is there hope that Stoops has learned some valuable lessons? Like, it's better to recruit your QB and develop him, rather than renting a new one each year. And that interfering in the offense is something he should stay away from (unless it's to tell your OC to quit with the cute stuff, and stick with a 60/40 power running to controlled passing attack ratio.)

The renewed backlash against Sweeney for essentially ducking the questions about the jeans ad.. is just insane. When I saw that interview I figured all but the most far far left would see this as nonsense. Instead, it seems half the country is up in arms that she "wouldn't admit she was a nazi".

Figured most of America could get behind the fact that this entire interview/entrapment was nonsense. But I guess not.

We are so cooked as a nation. And weirdly, I think this is a glaring example of why.

I have no idea what you’re talking about and I’d say 90% of the country doesn’t either. It is extremely obvious the original “backlash” was also social media generated - almost assuredly with bots and other things as when you walked into an AE it was exactly the same and their sales weren’t hurt in the least. This is harder to quantify as nonsense as Sweeney isn’t a corporation but I’ll guarantee it’s the same exact thing. Unfortunately the people that hire her (liberal film makers) are far more prone to taking Twitter comments seriously versus the American pubic buying jeans.

She did a GQ interview where a progressive editor type tried to bait her into saying the ad was racist, right-leaning, etc and SS wouldn't budge. Its certainly more than 10% if the nation who have gotten wind of this, and its still early in when it was posted. ANd regardless of them seeing it or not, it doesnt change the fact that if they DO see it, the vast majority will take a side.

I dont believe the comments im seeing are bots, but I also cant prove that for all of them. Still, Its not hard to see at least when you live in a Blue state. People i know and people they clearly know are up in arms over this, while celebrating Mamdani closing businesses, dick Cheneys death, etc.

Im just surprised that seemingly 30-40% of the country is doubling down on this outage. A 6-month old ad resurfaced talking about "good jeans" when Beyonce had almost the exact same ad (blonde hair and white-washed skin no less). Figured this would be common sense for most and all but the hardest progressives would laugh at the absurdity.. but that doesnt seem to be the case.

They aren’t, that’s the point I’m making. I dont know what you are talking about now - but I DO know the original “outrage”. I also remember thinking it’s crazy and I couldn’t believe how many people were outraged - but those are all subjective feelings based on social media amplification, due in large part to bots. I was wrong - because we actually had OBJECTIVE data to see what was actually happening in REALITY. The sales didn’t go down at all (their sales actually INCREASED) and foot traffic in the stores was t down at all. It immediately fizzled when the reality of what was actually happening could be seen. There is no such objective counter to what is currently happening, but based on what just happened I’m going to guess the reality is the same.

But I find you to be much more in the middle and level-headed. I wouldn't put you in the 30 to40% (or whatever the number is) even if you might be liberal.

I dont personally buy that AE sales matter here. For starters, AE is a mostly white
Mid-to-upper class brand (I worked for a similar brand in my past life). Like you said, their sales actually increased. But I dont think the people who would be outraged by this story, were shopping at AE to begin with. So I dont think there was gonna be any real hit to their sales or image.

Here's some examples of whay im seeing:

My point is, we are so divided as a country that even such a silly Ad and interview cant seem to join the vast majority where we all say "ok this is absurd". Far too many on the left were outraged by this (and for clarity, the right can do this at times, too).

I guess what I’m trying to say is the percentage of people outraged is no more than 20%. I don’t think it’s anywhere near 40%. I truly think 80% of the country doesn’t give a ****. People talk about the NYC mayor - only 20% of the population even voted! I think that social media has SEVERELY over amplified the extremes on both ends. I think most people, if you go outside, are relatively normal and would find this whole thing with Sweeney ridiculous.

It isn't just "white" wearing that brand. Saw all kinds of people wearing AE last night at the game. I thought it was pretty cool.
