My nephew in Huntsville AL tested positive last Friday. First person I know personally to have contracted the Wuhan virus.

My former manager passed away from COVID-19 last night. She was mid-60s and I believe she also had diabetes. Just found out this morning.

I work as a outpatient Physical Therapist in the Central Kentucky area. My wife is one as well. We personally know dozens of people who have been positive. Most people had little to no symptoms. A good number of people had allergy type symptoms.....(including one person who had mild symptoms, but later developed moderate heart damage as a result.....she's very healthy and in her early 40's) And we know 2 people who have either been severe or have died......both elderly.

I firmly believe that most people have been around or exposed to it A LLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOTTTTT more than they realize. I think it spreads a heck of a lot faster than we are testing for it......and the vast majority of people have little to no symptoms.

I'm still at 0 people "knowing" they have it. Who knows if any of them actually do/did have it though? No one has been diagnosed. For something that is supposedly really bad and infecting millions, I would think everyone should know someone that has/had it by now.

I still don't know anybody. I know several who tested negative though.

With one exception, my family members don't know anybody who has had it. My brother's wife's former coworker who lives 1000 miles away supposedly tested positive, but I don't know her.

I guess I need to get on social media, find an old hen gossip group, or do some research so I can dig up some cases. I thought I would have picked it up by now from one of my young snot-nosed gradkids. They lick everything they see.

Still no for me but I’m still stuck in the hospital (July 8) Kidneys still not doing well thanks to an infection and bulge in my belly seems to grow (incisional hernia 3” above naval). I can’t leave until both issues are resolved. It is what it is, but I wouldn’t be surprised to be a “case” since I have struggled with Pneumonia and was in ICU. My mother knows someone personally but she won’t tell me who it is, so there’s a possibility.

Did this guy leave for another job or did he get canned? Otherwise, how do you know? Don’t give me any ideas

I know 6 who have had it with symptoms. All got over it fairly quickly. I was worried about my 56 yo brother-in-law with several underlying conditions, pacemaker, diabetes, overweight, but he got over it too.

My 55 yr old coworker passed away in march. Only health issue that I know of was that he was overweight.

A guy that I graduated with(29) is in an medically induced coma due to covid. No health problems.

My aunt and uncle also had it in April. No prior health issues, fully recovered, but said it was hell.

It's so hard to even know if you have it (at least a non serious case) with so many various symptoms mentioned.

Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea

I think I've even seen itching as a possible symptom as well. I've probably had half of those symptoms before and during the pandemic and I doubt it was from Covid-19. I'm supposedly allergic to basically outside, my dogs, and who knows what else and that is probably my issue or maybe I have early stages of COPD (has a lot of the same symptoms). I don't know if I would even trust a positive test result for Covid-19 with all of the fake positives, unless I'm on my death bed.

My daughter had flu like symptoms back in January but tested negative for the flu. I always wondered after the Covid-19 news blew up if that is what she might have had? If so I am surprised I didn't get it as well since it seems like I catch everything when around sick kids. I wonder if the flu vaccine I received could have possibly helped against getting Covid-19 or at least severely weakened it's symptoms if I did have it?

About a month ago a former co-worker and friend told me he had it. First person I've know to have it.

He is fine and over it. Mid 30's. Said he had 2 weeks of extreme fatigue....in between a few days each of headache and cough but it was primarily the fatigue. He just isolated at home for two weeks more or less.

My wife's best friend sister had it along (we are told) with her husband and kids in Indiana. They were all 100% asymptomatic. They only knew they had it because the father in law tested positive so they all got tested.

My Dad was tested for it a couple months back because he had extreme fatigue and upset stomach- negative.

That's it for me.

My mom tested positive for Flu Type A right around Feb 21....she was supposed to watch our 3 kids as we were going to a concert- why I know the date. She was sick between 2/20-3/8.

I have never seen her in worse physical condition. After all of this I am convinced she had COVID too. She was completely out of it, including borderline hallucinating.

Her Dr has since told her she could have very well had both Flu and COVID. She has not taken an antibody test.

I've lost count of all the people I know that have tested positive. Two very at risk guys that ended up in the hospital and made it out. A friend lost his dad who was in a nursing home for veterans. Most just had the normal symptoms, and the severity was everything on the scale from a typical cold to totally wiped out and miserable as if they had mono or a really really bad flu.

I truly think every single one of us has had it, or will. Many won't even know. Given that, I'm certainly not reckless, because I think it can be very severe, but I'm absolutely not afraid to go about my life mostly normally.

A few people, but most recent is a co-worker who has essentially been working from home for months. He has had a 103 temp and cough/nausea/aches for 3 days. Oxygen is ok, but he was advised to get to ER if that becomes labored. He said this is an 11 on the 1-10 scale of suck, and said the only place he could have gotten this was at the doctor or a typical trip to grocery, pharmacy, etc.

He is diabetic and 47 and reasonably good health.

I'm up to 15 now. Had dinner with 3 former coworkers last night. One of them told me about a guy that she and I used to work with in another department that got sick last week and tested positive. There was a panic at work, as everybody on the shift with him had to be tested. She said he's pretty sick, but still at home so far. Of the 15 so far....

3 dead
2 hospitalized, one of who has permanent lung damage. Both are back home now.
10 who recovered at home, but missed several weeks of work.

I have lost count. Most of them though have been no to a mild experience with it. A couple though have been hospitalized.

I’m up to four. Found out recently my cousin and her husband living near E-town got it a couple months ago and are fine. My nephew the policeman has recovered just fine.

A lady from my church who is in a nursing home was one of 30+ cases in an outbreak at that facility. Looks like she’s going to pull through ok.

I have a family member, 3 from our 80 person church, and 4 or 5 from the community. Changed my answer from the poll. 2 have been hospitalized and thankfully no one has died.

Yep, no longer with us. Not sure how he got off in the first place, or how they found out. Word is he refused to supply medical documentation, but yall know how work gossip is. Either way, it was a bold strategy! [roll]

Yes...I know three people that had it very recently and are over it now. One of them just had very, very mild symptoms while the other two had to be hospitalized and were in very bad shape.

My pastor is showing symptoms (does not mean that he has it), but we'll see. I just got tested again today here in the hospital; I have been tested three times since I entered the hospital 38 days ago and I still don't know if I tested positive or negative (I assume negative, but you never know, with all of the BS that's going around). I'm still having trouble with kidneys and liver (on dialysis, but should be temporary) but I am hopeful that I will be well enough to go home in a few weeks, although I still have to have the abdominal reconstruction (one to two week recovery) before I can be discharged, but I'm not strong enough. Good news is, I am ok enough to post and to talk to people on the phone some. So yes, I know of people who have gotten it, but no one personally......yet.

So after five months, I have finally changed my vote to “yes”. My pastor, his wife, his son and his girlfriend all got it this week. Two of them have no taste or smell while the other two had mild symptoms. I have spent 63 days in the hospital (19 days in June, 44 days and counting right now, and I’m not getting better) since this has all started and I still haven’t known of anyone at the hospital getting it. That said, I am isolated and it kinda gets old. I still haven’t gotten as far as I know. I have pneumonia twice and it’s possible that I have it again. So, I went from zero to four this week.

In addition to the three folks I mentioned above, I found out about 8 others the other day that I know personally. In one case, an entire family that we know has it and two of them were really bad while the other three had mild symptoms.

One of our friends that had it said he's never been that sick in his entire life and thought he was going to die. He's in his mid 40's and spent a couple days in the hospital.

So now it has gone from zero to "Holy-F***in-S***!" in a few days. I can add two to the list, and one has passed. Like I have told many, it's not the virus that kills you; it's the pneumonia that kills you (virus can turn into pneumonia on a dime). It is a husband and wife (been married 40 years). They were admitted last week (their step-child had it and passed it to them), and both got pneumonia. We thought that the wife was doing better, and was gonna be sent home on Monday, then went south really fast and passed this evening. She was 73 years old. The husband is 84 years old and is not doing well either, and I wouldn't be surprised if he goes quickly. Often, when one spouse goes, the other goes soon thereafter. They were travelling ministers and had come to our church 10+ times; my pastor, who also has it, has done work with them (I was supposed to be also, but work obligations prevented me from doing so). Crazy. I have been fighting pneumonia myself (hospital acquired -yep, still here - I could be intubated again and back to ICU), but I am in my 30's; if I get COVID, it could turn into a bad pneumonia and kill me, but the flu or other infections could do the same thing. To most, the Rona' isn't terrible, but when it turns into something worse, it seems to be far more potent. My situation isn't great, but it's a lot better than what this family is going through. They were my friends, and I was to travel with them this fall before all the COVID crap hit. This really sucks.

Guy who did some body work on my car told me he had had it. My youngest son thinks he recently had it but not confirmed thru testing.
