Not a real fan of it. As a retired person I would rather Iowa have a home and home with a SEC team OR a neutral site game with a power conference foe. I know it is selfish.....want to see the Hawks in those types of games vs the in state game. Love to see the Hawks in Ireland. Love to see them play a ND type team on a neutral field. I would not mind seeing Iowa vs Iowa State but every 3 or 4 years or something along those lines. I love traveling.....and want to travel more to follow the Hawks. God Bless my wife who allows it! Win and the Hawks were supposed to win. Probably by a lot. Lose and season is not over but it's severely tainted. It's a no win situation for the Hawks but it's probably a necessity for the state of Iowa.

This game defines Iowa State's season, year in and year out, especially this year. They're projected to win 4 games, if one of them is Iowa, it will be seen as an immense success. For us, if we beat the Clowns, the nation will see it as a ho hum, nothing special victory. If we lose? Hawks drop out of the top 25 for the remainder of the year and won't even sniff a possible playoff birth.

But tomorrow is an absolute must win.
-New team, staff
-Taking back the rivalry/CyHawk trophy
-Going into Ann Arbor with 3 wins is vital
-Gigantic recruiting weekend
-Kinnick under the lights
-Alternate Uniforms

We cannot afford this loss, on so many levels. Haven't been this stressed about a game since the bowl with Vandy, because we needed to beat a ranked team and end on a high note to ensure we go into this year on the right foot, and we did. If this ends up being close, don't expect much from the Hawks this year.

Lolol. In how many games and how long ago? Air Force, Princeton, Carlisle, Cornell? What were those 100 years ago? Is that Carlisle Indian school where Jim Thorpe played? Did you actually read what I posted? "In the B1G"? You know teams that play OSU at least fairly frequently in the modern era of football. Hmmm.. Didn't see ANY B1G schools on your list. Shocking...
Easy there, Chief. He just posted a list. I found it quite interesting. You don’t have to be offended.

I remember Air Force beating OSU in the ‘90 Liberty Bowl. I wonder if that’s the only time they played.

Honest question. WHY, to people say stuff like, "you don't have to be offended". I'm not "offended". Its a stupid list. First off, I said "other B1G schools". Find me a team on that list that's ever been in the B1G. Some of those games were probably 100 years ago , before the forward pass. Like Carlisle Indian school being 1-0 against OSU playing them once in 1904 when Jim Thorpe was there. Very relevant.
