I just don't know, man. He inherited the worst team that year. He's recruited well, but hasn't done much with it. Vandy looks like an SEC team against Kentucky.

Some people are good coaches but just can't lead others around him! Stoops does way too much micro managing and does not let his assistant coaches (Dawson) coach! He has shown he is in over his head! He needs to take the $$$ Barnhardt gave him and open a consulting firm! He is NOT a Head Coach!

Before tonight I thought he deserved more time. His team is uninspired, unprepared and he continues to call stupid plays tonight. Not sure he even has confidence in his own abilities.

nope, the biggest problems aren't things time fixes. you either are or aren't in over your head. it isn't a talent issue here. not saying we have SEC caliber depth yet, but my point is the biggest problems here have nothing to do with *time". a less experienced coach with a less talented roster is coaching circles around him right now. clearly something is amiss with this team, there's more than meets the eye as far as problems, IMO.

There is no defending this. We have been giving up an average of 21 points per game on unforced errors. I've never seen anything like this. Even Bill Curry had better coached teams than this. And it didn't start this season it started with the first game of the Stoops era. We just made excuses for it for 3 years. Tonight the excuses end.

He inherited the worst football team in football. I would rather us been on probation than to inherited Joker's team. And football takes 3-4 years to start getting the best our of your recruits. I dont know why rupptards cannot comprehend this.

Run Stoops and Barnhart out of town on the same damn rail! Stoops is clueless at managing a program. When you are this effing clueless you aren't going to improve enough to become serviceable. And Barnhart needs to be gone before the next coach is hired. As many times as he has screwed the pooch when hiring coaches, he shouldn't be given the opportunity to screw us again by hiring some other clown.

Enough with your idiotic rupptards horse ****. And we were not the worst team in football. We were bad but there were teams much worse than us. We blew out 2 teams in year 1. I'm not sure we would beat those same teams right now.

Then please give us a break and go cheer for another team.

I think most on here would agree with, except that ST has sucked all year and we just look terribly coached in the fundamentals of the game like clock management.

So the new recruits will make better decisions on the sideline? Are you watching the same game as the rest of us? It's almost comical how bad our coaching is at this point.

Hate to say it because I wanted stoops to succeed. He has done wonders on the recruiting trail but this is the worst coached team I have ever seen and at KY that is saying something. If you don't go s different direction now, you are doing it in another year or two. Same ole, same ole at good ole UK.

So you're saying the teams we beat by 40 were better than us? What old SEC coach were talking to Joker? Stupid.

He inherited one of the worst FB teams in the country and continues to coach one of the worst teams in country. 2nd year in a row this team has gone backwards during the season.

Hasn't had enough time .. but he clearly hasn't been a head coach and it shows mightily. Without an experienced assistant it appears he's in over his head. Keep the good recruiting going and MAYBE he'll survive

You guys are mad at the wrong guy.

This is on Mitch, and Mitch alone. Stoops can serve out his contract until 2019, but that extension never should have happened.

Some of the decisions he made tonight have nothing to do with deserving/needing ore time. We're talking about clock management and decisions like going for it on fourth down at midfield.

He'll probably get one more year but at this point, two years in a row of complete collapses, and next year not looking any better, why would he get a 5th year? Make or break next year. But when it's on the line this staff collapses. He'll be gone at the end of the year next year

Why or why not?

Definitely. At least 1 more year, when he has more of his recruits.

If you don't get emotional and just look at the point differential v. other SEC teams, there is clear progress and he is recruiting very well, consistently in the top 25.

You can't just look at the win-loss record.

absolutely more time. you cannot continue to panic and push coach out in yr 3
Agree, but next year will be all his players. The issue is that we are obviously regressing. None of us like to lose, but we'd be ok if the team had heart or/and was properly coached.

Clock management, terrible play calling, team mismanagement, QB - pulling them, etc.

We're not the same team we were at start.

At least need to see some progress. We're not.

I must say, he came into a mess, if anyone needs to go!.Then mitch , needs to go, been watching ky football since 76,.the powers to be have ,never cared about football, only basketball,he should have put money into the Football program, when coach Brooks was here,...thats why Brooks retired, but he hired Joker,....how'd that work out .!...but we will hear wait till next season,I've heared that since 1976, and I'm still waiting,,our football team, its all on Mitch.....
