To put a semi-positive spin on this... ....two of the teams in the NCAA tourney that are (OBVIOUSLY) bad matchups for us are now OUT.

Of course, we'd be pretty far in before we met anyway......

No. If we play solid ball tomorrow we will win.

ISU imploded, couldn't hit a 3 when they've routinely made them all year

BU was overseeded and GSU was underseeded with a future pro on their roster, ridiculous 3s happen, oh well.

Texas just has no heart I didn't expect them to win.

I watched a smaller Butler team with inferior athletes take down Texas because they were a better coached team.

I watched a Georgia St team handle Rico Gathers and Baylor"s length with toughness and heart.

and I watched a Iowa St team finally pay for not playing defense.

And yes, watching two of the better teams in our conference being handled in the first round by 14 seeds has made me reevaluate the strength of the Big 12 conference.


With all of that said, it has nothing to do with our game today. I think how the game is called by the refs will have more to do with our game than anything. If the refs let us play like I have watched all of the other teams play thus far, we are in good shape.

Actually, I predicted this to happen. I've felt all year the Big 12 was overrated this year. It's usually stronger in my opinion. And for this WVU team to contend almost all year for the Big 12 title showed me the league was down. Granted Huggins did a magnificent job turning it around. Yet, at the same time, I think our record was a bit inflated due to the league. The Sagarin ratings probably show I'm wrong. But, after seeing the Big 12 start so far, I'm not convinced I'm wrong.
