You won’t, but read the gospels and Acts. Why atheists want desperately to argue their religious beliefs is really interesting to me. Why does it matter so much? Because of the crusades?
We were born with a conscience? Oh my! How to say you are religious with a faith while trying to maintain an image of atheism. Incompatible.

Because we're on a discussion forum. And a question was asked. Is there a god? So I joined the discussion with my answer. No, they're all fictional! That's why. Imagine how fun the discussion would have been with no opposition. Just 102 pages of people answering YES.
But I also find it interesting that you would ask. Because I find that religious people discuss their beliefs 100 times more than non-religious people ever do.
Oh, you think trolling opposition that avoids actual discussion is “fun.” My bad. I did not know how you attained your fun.
It probably is not as fun to have to actually defend your positions.
No, I think defending my position is also fun. But this thread is 100 pages long and I’ve added my share. If you have any points you want to discuss, or want to pick my brain, go for it. I’ll answer if I’m able.

Many people, believers and skeptics alike, are familiar with these story lines. This recent video is a pretty concise and detailed presentation of the "copycat" thesis. It begs arguments and refutation from those who study and/or believe in the life of Jesus Christ. Students of Theology and World Religions are very familiar with these lifeline similarities, most definitely, if their academic regimens were open-minded, comprehensive and not Christ-centered.
However, there are large numbers of Christians (and members of other religions) who are totally unfamiliar with the Pre-Jesus stories described in this video. Hearing them would raise doubts and test the conviction to their faith, no doubt. When I was a practicing Catholic, I was always taught that doubt is necessary to strengthen your faith. Doubt was welcomed. I don't know how other religions view doubt and the objective quest for Absolute Truth.

On this date in 1922, Egyptologist Howard Carter and his team began the process of opening the tomb of the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun, known now as King Tut. When translated to English his name means “the living image of Amun”. Amun was their god, so, “the living image of god”. The pharaoh had been placed in that tomb in the year 1323BC.
I’ve long found the whole story quite fascinating. Especially given that the ancient Egyptians had long held beliefs in resurrection after death. When Tut died they wrapped his body in cloth, placed the body in a tomb (KV62), and sealed the tomb with a large stone slab. They believed that Tut would later travel to a place where he would be with their god, Amun.
Pretty crazy to know that ancient people truly believed all of that. And that they lived their lives based on those strange beliefs. Little wonder why their beliefs eventually died out and are now referred to as mythology.

I don’t understand why some atheists want to prove so much that believers are wrong. Why do you care?
At the same time, I don’t understand why some believers want everyone to live under the rules they’ve chosen to live under. Why do others need to live by your chosen rules? I get that you don’t feel like you chose them, they are your God’s laws which are universal but let others live their own lives.

The existence of a supreme being is the most discussed and thought about topic in the history of the world. Everyone searches for the elusive answer and to discuss it is not only inevitable and interesting, it is FUN. Nothing about civil, good-faith discussion and debate prevents anyone from living their own life. Nobody is forced or required to think about or engage in debates or discussions.
Agreed, and I didn’t say they couldn’t. I enjoy it too. That was literally not even one iota of the point of what I posted.
