We're 7 - 2 with 3 regular season games remaining. Can we finish strong in spite of injuries and losses, have we lost all momentum and regress, or do we finish as a computer would predict.

Why do this? Well, 9 wins is a Husker nation number, and while I don't necessarily agree with it's importance, I don't make the rules. You can love Mike Riley, hate Mike Riley, or just think Mike Riley will get his time to be evaluated. You can cry about injuries, ignore injuries, hate players, hate coaches, doesn't matter, the games will be played. How will we finish?

Here's the probabilities based on espn's fpi projected numbers:

Win all - 23.8%
Win 2, lose 1 - 47.7%
Win 1, lose 2 - 24.9%
Lose all - 3.6%

I just don't see them giving up on the season like they did against OSU in the 2nd half. All three games are winnable games and it is not like any of the three teams we have yet to face are world beaters.
I think the defense gets pissed and has a great game this week as they were completely embarrassed. Hopefully Morgan can get back to catching passes this week. Didn't seem like he could catch anything in Columbus.

3-0 This team will pull it together. The game against Minnesota is the key.Win and they build for the 10-2 close.

Let's assume Tommy isn't available to go this week but is available for the final two - I don't see Nebraska losing to Maryland and I do think Nebraska is simply the better team over Iowa.

So in my mind, 2 wins are likely.

If Tommy is able to go this week (my gut says he will be), I think 3-0 is incredibly likely.

We can't have anymore injuries on the offensive side. I'm praying for a 3-0 finish but who knows right now. That Wisconsin loss was such a heartbreaker. Even with all the injury problems on offense they fought and should of had a 1st and goal at the 8. But it didn't happen and we staggered into a buzzsaw against Ohio State. We'll find out soon enough were we go from here.

How is 3-0 incredibly likely when we are having a hard time finding a serviceable offensive line with the injuries, inexperience and lack of talent?

You have to win this weekend. Can't lose three in a row. I think with all the injuries 10-2 will be tough but if you get by this Saturday it's easier.

Maryland is a shell of themselves and they play Ohio State this weekend before traveling across the country to play us. I'm not worried about that one. They'll just want to get back home and beat RU so they can get to six wins.

Iowa is a push game. They should be bowl eligible before the last weekend of the year.

Because they will be favored in two if not all three. They have won every game they have been favored in this year.

Correct. I think NEB has only lost against the spread twice this year (Ohio St & Purdue?).

What were we a 20 point favorite? I can't remember

It was 21. I only remember because some dude at our watch party was yelling Nebraska covers after the long Newby TD run to get the lead to 15. So I asked him where he got 15. He didn't have an answer.

With the O-line coming together as it's seems, with decent o-line play I say 3-0 convincingly. Below o-line play i say 2-1.

No prediction thread this week, at least that I saw? Maybe everyone still hasn't thought their way through the OhSU game and where our program is? Maybe uncertainty on injuries and TA's return?

As far as this poll went, a clear majority see us winning more than we lose to close out the season. With 2 - 1 as the most popular pick by a small margin over winning out.

3-0 if Tommy plays and plays well behind a stronger O. Line. 2-1 if not, 1-2 could happen if the train falls of the tracks vs. Minny.

The 9 - 3, win 2, but lose 1 selection was the correct choice. The final tally:

Win 3 - 45 votes
Win 2 - 41
Win 1 - 20
Win 0 - 10
