Can you show me a single youtube highlight of Barker in a UK game that showed any speed/quickness that you're seeing?

I just remember some good throws at times (along with as many really bad throws) in the handful of games he's played. ANd I've never seen him make a play with this feet on any level.

So now you're saying he's made some good throws? So basically you are saying now that he has raw talent but that it hasn't translated to good play on he field? Mmm, that statement sounds familiar.

That was the best papaw brooks was able to do...tied for 3rd one time in 06'...before that curry did it once in 93' with whomever the qb was then...before that curci in 77' finished first...

That's the whole point. Give SJ an entire off season to develop and get the lion's share of the reps, learn the play book more, work on his mechanics, timing with the wrs, etc...next year he will be able to be more of a passing threat...

I would agree that the coaching staff has had to use a limited playbook with him. He's a juco transfer that wasn't really expected to play a lot. Like I said before he is new to football on this level.

I agree this season will definitley help him.

But I also think he needs to prove it has improved to an acceptable level versus some competition.

If it's anyone other than Johnson, I guarantee they will be on a short leash, becasue Johnson has a pretty good record, all the others are for the most part unproven.

Read the questions....I said where are the raw talent in terms of speed, quickness and arm strength? I have never seen it out of Drew.

He made some good throws in half of SO Miss game. He was brutal in 2nd half of that game, a complete waste in UF game, pretty bad in UL Game last year and a few good throws vs. Vandy. Not a ton of games...but for a guy in 3rd year, I don't see him adding m,ore than Johnson has

You started out saying that he had nothing to work with. No arm strength. No accuracy. He's a "statue." You even went as far as to imply that his size wasn't impressive either. It was the judgement of his talent that really caught my attention.

Had you just stated that Barker hasn't played well then this conversation would be over. We'd simply agree and move on but I'm struggling as to where you don't see his talent.

For a collegiate QB prospect his size is ideal. His speed/quickness is above average. His arm strength is above average. His accuracy seems fair. As a prospect he has a ton to work with.

Now since you asked. In the 8 games Barker has played in he has positive rushing yds. At an average of +1.4 yds/rush.....(obviously this factors in sacks). Towles avg was +1.6 yds/rush while he was here. Mike Hartline was -0.3 yds/rush. Woodson was -2.1 yds/rush.
